The Beatles legend, 82, announced he is releasing a rare rockumentary to accompany the release of lost Paul McCartney and Wings' album One Hand Clapping, at cinemas worldwide.

The limited screenings, which will begin on September 26, will give an intimate glimpse into the 1974 Abbey Road recording sessions for the album, which was shelved for almost 50 years before its eventual release on June 14, 2024.

Sharing a poster to reveal the news, the singer released a slew of polaroids taken during the sessions, which featured bandmate and late wife Linda.

Linda, who died from breast cancer in 1998, was pictured singing and playing the keyboard in the image.

The behind-the-scenes rockumentary will treat fans for the first time to previously unreleased footage of Sir Paul performing an acoustic set called The Backyard Sessions.

Fans will also have an opportunity to watch exclusive filmed introduction by the musician and unseen polaroids taken of the recording session.

It will take fans back in time and capture the look and feel of the historic recording studio, famously used by The Beatles for all of their studio albums.

The new film will show the process of making One Hand Clapping, originally intended to be a conceptual live album and accompanying film in the style of The Beatles swansong Let It Be, and will include reimagined Beatles classics.

Sir Paul said: 'It's so great to look back on that period and see the little live show we did. We made a pretty good noise actually! It was a great time for the band, we started to have success with Wings, which had been a long time coming.'

The film will also give fans a chance to listen to Sir Paul performing on the acoustic guitar and covering one of his favourite songs, Twenty Flight Rock which was the song he played for John Lennon during their first meeting.

The music icon has had a busy summer and was seen enjoying himself in June at Taylor Swift's Era's Tour in London

The Beatles Star was spotted dancing and singing with fans in the VIP tent and even traded friendship bracelets with excited fans who gathered round him.

But Sir Paul showed he's kept up to date with fashion, as he added a pair of black sliders, resembling the trendy Yeezy style shoes.

The singer-songwriter also made sure to keep himself shielded from the sun with a baseball cap and dark shades.

While Nancy, 64, looked typically radiant in a floral minidress with a low neckline, showing off her cleavage and toned legs.
