Kansas City Chiefs fans sent well wishes to Ava Hunt after the team owner's daughter went into emergency surgery from a hiking accident.

Ava, the youngest daughter of Chiefs owner Clark and his beauty-queen wife Tavia, suffered a serious wound after falling during a hike this week. Fortunately, she has since undergone a successful surgery.

'Sending peace prayers and light for successful recovery,' said a third.

The accident first went public when Tavia shared the news and asked her Instagram followers to pray for Ava.

'This little thang fell down the mountain today on a hike [and] went to the ER for surgery on a deep wound,' Tavia revealed on Instagram alongside a smiling picture of herself and Ava. 'It's been a looong day. Praise God she's in recovery and already smiling. Please pray for a quick [and] complete recovery!'

Shortly after, the SMU cheerleader was already putting a happy face on the painful situation.

After getting released from the hospital, she enjoyed couch surfing in front of some Simone Biles highlights from the ongoing Paris Olympics.

'Update: surgery went very smoothly and I'm back at home watching my favorite @simonebiles!!' she wrote on Instagram.

'I'm feelings great (but I might still be a little drugged up),' she continued. 'Thank you for all of your sweet messages and prayers.'

It's unclear if the injury will impact her status on SMU's cheerleading squad. She is currently listed as a team member on the group's Instagram page.
