Early Thursday, the Oklahoma native told People that he is following in his wife Gwen's footsteps and is excited to preform a residency of his own.

'It's been swirling for years now, and ever since the idea was first floated about opening an Ole Red in Las Vegas, this conversation has been happening too,' he told the outlet referencing his live music bar.

The country icon continued: 'If you're going to have a stake in Las Vegas, you got to do a residency also if you’re an artist. I’ve just been kicking the can down the road because I wanted the Ole Red to be open before I did it.'

He also teased possible performances at his country bar in between some of his residency shows.

'While I'm there doing the residency I may end up over at Ole Red jumping on that stage one night,' he said.

Back in 2021 Blake admitted that he attended 15 or 16 shows during wife Gwen's residency and even grabbed a mic to join her in duetting Happy Anywhere.

He also shared that his longtime pal Garth Brooks played a role in inspiring him to hit the stage in Las Vegas.

'He played songs that he grew up loving and made him fall in love with music. I don't want to just rip somebody off, but I do love the idea of doing something that you wouldn't normally get to see out on tour,' the Ol' Red singer added.

'So I got to figure out what that is, and now I'm going to start thinking about how it would be different than something I would do on tour,' he said.

As to what songs the hitmaker plans to preform during his time in Sin City, he said is not one to leave fans disappointed.

'I never want people to leave my shows going, "Sh*t man, he didn't do Austin", or "I wanted to hear God's Country."'

Fans were over the moon for his announcement writing, 'I'm going to fly across the globe to see you and celebrate my birthday month.' Another chimed in saying, 'Colosseum fit for a king! Excited!'
