He admitted earlier this year to shedding more than 30lbs with the aid of the popular diabetes treatment and weight-loss drug Ozempic.

But Jon Gosselin's impressive weight loss allows him to have an occasional cheat day, which he took advantage of Wednesday during a visit to the popular Italian restaurant Carmine's in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The 47-year-old Jon & Kate Plus 8 star was spotted enjoying a variety of appetizers and entrees that he and his friends shared family style to try a bit of everything.

He was reportedly in town for the DJX exhibition and show at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, which is one of the largest and longest-running trade shows for DJs.

A source told DailyMail.com that Jon was looking 'great' and 'loving his new body after losing weight.'

'He gushed that he actually lost more weight and is down 40 pounds,' they added. 'He's impressed how far he's come and loves that he has abs now.'

Jon was pictured dining with his 'good friend' Roger Saul and The City Pulse blogger Whitney Ullman to celebrate her birthday.

Jon looked as if his mouth was watering as the table was presented with hearty favorites, including a massive chicken parm.

Another large dish, the broiled porterhouse steak, was already cut up and sprinkled with garlic and herbs.

The evenings appetizers included baked clams, stuffed mushrooms and a mixed green salad.

They also mixed angel hair pasta in a spicy marinara sauce with seafood, including mussels, shrimp, scallops and clams.

The group also got some sweet treats for later in the evening, including tiramisu covered in chocolate shavings, bread pudding and a towering strawberry shortcake.

The source noted that Jon was making an exception his the diet he has maintained since shedding dozens of pounds on Ozempic.

'He's working on maintaining his weight, but still indulges at times, especially on special occasions,' they explained.

The source added that Gosselin was 'focused still on his DJ gig,' explaining his presence at the exhibition in Atlantic City.

He's a regular fixture as a DJ around his Pennsylvania hometown, and he 'chases any opportunities that comes his way.'

After going to town on the hearty Italian–American food, Jon joked in a short Instagram video that he 'used to have abs' after his weight loss, but they were 'non-existent' after the massive meal.

'We're stuffed. There's no way we could try it all,' he added, and noted that he would be back, but this time with 'a lot more people.'

As of April, Jon's Ozempic-aided weight loss was up to 32lbs, according to an interview with Page Six

'You know what's annoying? The regret of not starting it 10 years ago,' he admitted.

'I feel amazing! Like, why didn't I do this sooner? Maybe it wasn't the right time,' the reality star continued, though Ozempic and other brand-name versions of the same drug semaglutide were only approved for sale in the US in 2017.

At the time, he raved about how the drug, which is marketed as a diabetes treatment, had helped him to get his 'appetite under control with less eating,' which in turn made it easier to 'refocus' his diet once food wasn't as desirable.

Another benefit to his health — and possibly his weight as well — was that the Ozempic helped Jon to stop drinking.

He also admitted to using body contouring and fat-melting treatments to help give him a slimmer appearance, but he drew a hard line at using liposuction or other weight-loss surgeries.

'I'm like, "Hell, no." I would never do anything that's invasive to my body that I don't need,' he said.
