Kesha says she's re-recording her signature hit Tik Tok with revision to lyric about Diddy ... as she gets racy new tattoo on her lower back as she spends time with pal Kyle Richards

Kesha had plenty to tell her 3.4 Instagram followers on Wednesday, as she revealed she's going to re-record her signature hit Tik Tok with a special twist, while revealing that she was getting a racy new tattoo in honor of her new single, Joyride.

The Grammy-nominated vocalist, 37, took to the social media site with a series of images of the original art for the single Tik Tok, as well as what appeared to be outtakes from the initial photo shoot, in commemoration with the 15th anniversary of the song's release.

'TiK ToK was the first single that I put into this world that had my voice AND my name credited!!!!' the musical artist, whose full name is Kesha Rose Sebert, wrote in the caption of the post. 'I remember making it fun and happy because that’s how I felt and wanted others to feel.

'What I’m so proud of is that’s how this song STILL makes me feel, through it all, and those are emotions I want all of us to connect to. 15 (!!!!!!) years later, I see this song as a snapshot into the way I saw the world at the time.'

Kesha - who released the track on August 7, 2009 as the featured single from her first studio album Animal - described herself as 'naïve and wild and playful' at the time she released the track.

The song eventually arrived on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on October 24, 2009 and spent nine weeks in the top spot amid its 38 weeks on the chart, as it remains one of her biggest hits to this day.

The song also made history in amassing the most digital downloads in a week for a female artist, Billboard reported, and also was the top song on the charts at the beginning of the 2010s decade.

'This song eternalizes a side of myself that I love very much, and now see I have to protect fiercely,' Kesha said.

Kesha added that 'the world has changed so much and so have I,' noting that she 'absolutely' loves 'the new lyric change' in the song, in regards to a reference to Diddy she reworded earlier this year.

The lyrical change came amid numerous allegations of sexual misconduct aimed at the rap impresario; federal raids on multiple properties he owns amid a sex trafficking probe; and a resurfaced clip of him physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in 2016.

While the original lyrics 15 years back included the line, 'Wake up in the mornin' feeling like P. Diddy,' Kesha altered in the wake of the accusations to 'Wake up in the mornin' like f*** P. Diddy.'

She performed the new lyrics in her set with Reneé Rapp at Coachella in April 14, and also tweeted the phrase out the same day.

Kesha said Wednesday that the lyric change is 'permanent' and that she 'will re-record it when I have legal rights to!'

Kesha, whose subsequent hit singles include Timber, Your Love Is My Drug and Blow, wrapped up in saying that her 'first baby stands for so much.'

She added, 'It stands for fiercely protecting fun and unadulterated joy, in myself and in others. The whole ride has been absolute insanity, but the JOY is still riding. ⁣

'I hope you all can find 3 1/2 minutes of play in this song and connect with your wild child-like joy. Thank you for making my life so magical animals, it’s one for the books!'

Amid the anniversary of her signature single, Kesha had the title of her new single Joyride tattooed on her lower back, sharing the process on her Instagram Stories.

In the pair of photos she posted, Kesha has her blonde locks down and wore a white top and black underwear with the phrase 'Joyride' tattooed in purple.

The tattoo inspired by the new single was a hit with fans on Kesha's Reddit page, as one fan suggested that it 'would be so hot if this was the album title & the cover was the tat!'

Another user said, 'Loving the turn back into party/dance music. I think her last album was soulful and important, but she makes such good dance music. It's uplifting, sexually liberating and everything that good dance music should be. Glad to see that she has held onto that and evolved it.'

She tagged into her Stories her friend, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, 55, as well as tattoo artist Wesley Austin.

Kesha and the Bravo star have been seen together on multiple occasions this year, including an Aspen outing in March with pal Ali Isaksen; at Coachella in April with Richards' niece Paris Hilton; and in Los Angeles in May.

The single Joyride was released last month on July 4, as Kesha commemorated America's Independence Day with her first single amid her professional break with RCA and Kemosabe Records.

The latter label is owned by Dr. Luke, who Kesha was in litigation with for almost a decade following a 2014 lawsuit in which she claimed he had sexually and physically abused her.

Kesha and Dr. Luke announced they had settled their long-running legal battle in June of 2023.

Kesha said in a statement at the conclusion of the proceedings, 'Only God knows what happened that night;' while Dr. Luke said he was 'absolutely certain that nothing happened' and that he 'never drugged or assaulted her.'
