Jessica Simpson parties with pals in LA after shutting down speculation she's been drinking again

Jessica Simpson was spotted enjoying a late dinner out with friends at Mother Wolf in Hollywood.

The Dukes of Hazzard actress, 44, wore a lovely dusty rose dress with black flowers all over it that fell to just below her knees.

Tan strappy sandals, a turquoise necklace and rings, silver cuff bracelets and a large silver handbag completed the former reality TV star's look.

Her long, thick blonde hair was parted in the middle and straight as she was spotted waving to photographers from the passenger's seat of the car as she was whisked away.

The sighting comes as Jessica clapped back at a fan who speculated the sober star had fallen off the wagon and was drinking again.

Earlier this week, The With You hitmaker addressed a commentator speculating about her sobriety underneath a sweet Instagram post for her son Ace, who turned 11 in June.

After the proud mom boasted about their shared love of scratch-off lottery tickets, a fan accused her of drinking in the comments section, writing, 'STOP DRINKING!'

The Newlyweds star was quick to respond and clarify the status of her sobriety.

'I haven’t wanted or touched alcohol since October 2017 and it has been the best decision I've made for myself and for my family,' she wrote.

'Thank You for your concern, but you have me very misunderstood. Sending love your way,' she added.

Jessica addressed getting sober in her 2020 memoir Open Book.

'I was killing myself with all the drinking and pills,' she wrote. 'Giving up the alcohol was easy. I was mad at that bottle. At how it allowed me to stay complacent and numb.'

Therapy was not as easy: 'With work, I allowed myself to feel the traumas I'd been through.'

The Irresistible singer is also working on new music and teased that fact this week as she posed for a photo outside of Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles.

Captioned only with a musical note emoji, Simpson's post comes after she previously teased a new project.

In December, she shared, 'I'm feelin' extra grateful today for excitin' new opportunities and inspirin' meetings regardin' music and new entertainment endeavors.'

Simpson said her children inspired her to return to performing when she realized how much she'd love to have them see her perform.
