Country singer Bryan Martin cancels tour with mysterious message about working 'through things'

Country singer Bryan Martin became the latest musician to cancel his tour.

The We Ride singer, 38, shared a statement on Facebook and Instagram announcing the decision.

'I'm sad to announce that, due to personal reasons, I will not be touring for the next few months and so all dates are cancelled,' he wrote.

'We will try our best to reschedule dates where it works for the venues and promoters. Thanks to everyone for their support while I work through things. I look forward to seeing everyone down the road.'

It comes after Morgan Wallen recently canceled his concert dates due to illness.

Earlier this year, Martin checked into rehab after a lifelong battle with addiction and suicidal ideation.

He was scheduled to appear on Tuesday, August 13 at The Machine Shop in Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario, Canada.

The venue issued a statement that all tickets would be refunded.

'Bryan will be stepping away from touring for the time being for personal health reasons,' the statement said.

'He apologizes deeply for the inconvenience and looks forward to seeing everyone on the road again soon...We wish him well and a healthy recovery.'

Back in February, Martin checked himself into a rehab facility in Utah for treatment.

'So ... first off I'm fine gonna be even better soon ... but I am in Utah in Rehab (sic),' Martin wrote on Facebook.

He continued, explaining how alcohol and addiction have always been a problem for him.

'I wanted to be the one to tell my fans first ... so share the post whatever ya wanna do ... it may get taken down but I can promise you guys. I'm standing strong as always and I'll be back in no time.'

In his official bio, Martin talks about growing up poor and troubled in Louisiana.

'Martin found himself giving in to temptations such as drugs and alcohol, resulting in the decision to drop out of high school and clean up his life in the military.

'But soon, he was sent home – and the feeling of failure led Martin to ultimately attempt suicide.

'I took 30 Percocet and misfired a 357 when I was 19 years old. My first song came from a suicide note,' he recalled.

Martin's  debut album, If It Was Easy, which was released in 2019, talked about his struggle with opiate addiction and mental health and growing up in an oil field family.

'I just think that if I go hide my scars and I go putting a mask on myself or who I am, I’m doing exactly what I never wanted to do.

'I wear the scars, and I’m learning to wear it better. The reason why I don’t hide anything is because there’s too many people that need to know that there is no difference between me and them.'
