Simone Biles' sister posts touching tribute to Olympic champion with a throwback photo to their childhood

Simone Biles' little sister Adria Biles celebrated her older sister's successful return to the mat at the Paris Olympics earlier this week.

On Wednesday, Adria posted a sweet tribute to her older sister on Instagram - featuring some throwback pictures.

'The little girl in me would look for you in every single room she walks into,' Adria wrote.

'you have made me into the person i am today and i will forever look up to you. i love you sister.'

It was a strong showing for Biles at the Paris Olympics following her withdrawal from events at the Tokyo games three years ago due to 'the twisties'.

Now, Biles can hold her head high with four more medals to her tally - including three golds in the team, the individual all-around, and the vault.

'I've accomplished way more than my wildest dreams, not just as this Olympics, but in this sport,' the gymnast told reporters after her last competition.

'I can't be mad at my performances. A couple of years ago, I didn't think I'd be back here at an Olympic games.'

Speaking to People Magazine, Simone and Adria's mother, Nellie Biles, opened up about the pride that she had for the Olympian's latest accomplishments.

'It's just been an unbelievable week,' Nellie told People.

'I know we came here with our own expectations, but the expectation was whatever, we do want her to medal, but not putting any stipulations on what medals that she will get. And I mean, three golds — we're just elated.'

It's not clear if this is the final Olympic games for Biles - who left the door open to a possible return at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics in four years time.
