Taylor Swift fans convinced she has subtly endorsed Kamala Harris for President - after spotting mysterious detail in new Eras Tour photo

Taylor Swift fans are convinced that she has subtly endorsed Kamala Harris for US President after a mysterious detail was spotted in a new image from her Eras Tour.

The 34-year-old megastar took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a gallery of images from her concert in Warsaw, Poland on Friday.

However, some Swifties noticed a shadowy figure  who resembled the Democratic presidential candidate in the seventh slide of the post.

Many took to X (formally Twitter) to react to the posting.

Another said: 'It really feels like it should be a bigger deal that Taylor Swift left a shadow of Kamala on her Instagram post but I don’t really see anyone talking about it. #YesWeKam'

There were others on the social media site who were not happy about the post featuring the shadowy figure.

One X user said: 'Taylor Swift posted this photo with Kamala Harris to her Instagram. I hate that so many of her naive and ignorant young fans will vote for whoever she tells them to… It’s a cult!!'

Taylor famously endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020 as she rallied fans to vote while taking the cover of V Magazine at the time.

The pop superstar sent a powerful message to those looking for change, telling V about her vision for a future with a president who believes in progress and equality.

Later in the day she officially declared her support for candidate Joe Biden on Instagram, posting a photo holding a tray of Biden/Harris cookies.

'The change we need most is to elect a president who recognizes that people of color deserve to feel safe and represented,' the Folklore singer said.

She continued: 'That women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies, and that the LGBTQIA+ community deserves to be acknowledged and included.

Taylor stressed the importance of combating COVID-19 as well, telling readers: 'Everyone deserves a government that takes global health risks seriously and puts the lives of its people first.'

If she didn't make her point clear enough, the Cardigan singer gave an outright endorsement to the Biden/Harris ticket on her Instagram, showing off some custom campaign cookies ready for tonight's debate between Kamala Harris and Vice President Mike Pence.

'I spoke to @vmagazine about why I’ll be voting for Joe Biden for president. So apt that it’s come out on the night of the VP debate. Gonna be watching and supporting @kamalaharris by yelling at the tv a lot. And I also have custom cookies,' she captioned her Instagram.

Before that, it took her years to become politically involved, but she finally dipped her toes into the Democratic waters in 2018 - publicly backing Senate hopeful Phil Bredesen over Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn in her home state of Tennessee.

She also endorsed Democrat Jim Cooper for U.S. House.

Swift's endorsement came late in the race and didn't do enough to get Bredesen over the hump. Cooper, representing a more liberal Tennessee district, was able to win reelection.
