Hoda Kotb left some of her followers in tears on Thursday when she posted a sweet video of the moment she was reunited with her two young daughters after being away in Paris while hosting Olympics coverage.

Hoda, 59, and her Today cohost, Savannah Guthrie, spent more than a week away from their families as they hosted some of NBC's coverage of the 2024 Games in the French capital and got the chance to hang out with the likes of Simone Biles and Snoop Dogg.

Taking to Instagram, Hoda - who suffered an epic wardrobe malfunction while in Paris - shared an adorable montage video of her girls - Haley, seven, and Hope, four - greeting her at the front door as she arrived back at her stunning Long Island beach home.

The clip - which was simply captioned 'home' - begins with Haley and Hope watching television, but as soon as they realize Hoda has arrived, they start running toward her and shouting, 'Mommy!' as the TV host can be heard giggling.

Hope, who was dressed in a red and blue Spiderman dress, held up a juice cup and said: 'Mommy, look what I have!' before tossing it to the side as Haley told Hoda: 'I need a hug!'

In a short montage of photos, Hoda is seen hugging her girls one-by-one before they all settle down on the sofa for a group cuddle.

Hoda's 2.5 million followers absolutely loved the video and were quick to comment, with one person writing: 'Welp, I'm crying… So happy to see you at home with your girls!!'

Another person joked: 'I'm not crying,' while a third commented: 'So glad you are back home with your girls. That's happiness!! I know you missed them and they definitely missed you!'

A fourth fan wrote: 'What a sweet video. Glad you are back with your girls,' and a fifth added: 'The BEST Welcome Home EVER.'

Someone else told Hoda: 'I love this video. These little ones are so happy to have you back home. You have no idea how much they missed you. Enjoy being back with them. Now just put your feet up, relax and take a load off.'

Their reunion comes just days after Hoda got the chance to introduce Haley and Hope to Olympic gold medalist Simone via FaceTime as she interviewed her live in Paris.

A snippet of the adorable virtual meet-and-greet was posted on Hoda's Instagram as well as the official account for the Today show.

In the short clip, Hoda held up her cellphone to face Simone, the athlete grinned from ear-to-ear as she waved to the host's kids and said: 'Hi girlfriend!' before turning to Hoda and saying: 'Oh my God, she looks so cute with her little glasses. Wait, she's so pretty!'

It's certainly been a busy August for Hoda so far, as she spent over a week working in Paris, and is now gearing up for her 60th birthday this Friday.

The TV star will celebrate her milestone birthday at work with a party on the plaza on Monday, August 12.
