Cardi B furiously hits back at claims she is facing foreclosure on her $5M mansion in Atlanta amid money struggles

Cardi B addressed allegations that she was attempting to sell one of her homes to cope with a 'secret' financial crisis.

The 31-year-old WAP rapper — who recently slammed Popeyes over a chicken wing flavor — took to her X on Monday to hit back after Icy Scoop News claimed she was 'facing foreclosure' and 'fighting to make payments' on her Atlanta mansion in a since-deleted post.

'LMAOOO You bum btches wish… me and offset bought that house in 2019 for 5 million now it’s worth 7, check the Atlanta market,' Cardi B wrote, referencing her rapper husband.

She added: 'And no, we not selling it… and if I ever sold it I would just sell my part to Offset since he loves Atlanta. Throwing salt on my home? Hating bad.'

Icy Scoop News original tweet read: 'Cardi B's secret struggle: She's allegedly trying to sell one of her homes but is deeply upside down on it. Facing foreclosure, the pressure is mounting as she fights to make the payments. The stakes have never been higher.'

The Grammy winner and Offset purchased a $5.8million mansion in Sandy Springs, a suburb of Atlanta, in December of 2019.

The home boasts 22,000 square feet with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and four half-baths at the couple's disposal. The entire property sits on 5.84 wooded acres, according to Realtor.com

The clap back comes after Cardi B opened up about her finances to Complex in March, addressing her rumored $80M net worth.

'I feel like I actually passed almost doing $80 million,' she admitted. 'I make a lot of money. I make a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of money.'

In August, Cardi and Offset were targeted in a swatting hoax at the Atlanta home.

In a dramatic incident recorded on police bodycam footage, officers responded to their home in the early hours of August 10, 2023, following reports of a shooting.

According to the police report, a caller claimed that shots had been fired at the residence of the famous rapper, sparking immediate concern.

The caller even suggested that Cardi B herself might have been struck by a bullet, prompting officers to approach the scene with sirens blaring and weapons at the ready.

Upon their arrival, however, police quickly determined that the alarming report was nothing more than a hoax.

The musical stars were the latest victims of a swatting hoax, where a malicious individual falsely reports a violent incident at a celebrity's home to trigger an emergency response from authorities.

Notable names who have past been targeted in similar hoaxes include Pharrell, Nicki Minaj, Paris Hilton and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, as well as the Playboy Mansion.

Cardi and Offset's Atlanta purchase came after two-years of house hunting, which the female MC blamed on her and her husband's differing tastes.

'Houses that [Offset] liked there was always a room I didn’t like that we couldn’t agreed on. And a couple houses that I liked [Offset] said NO because the areas they [were] in are not [too] good,' she explained via Instagram Story in 2019.
