前記層深さから前記ガラス中へと広がる、引張応力CT下の第二領域であって、当該第二領域について三角近似によって決定された値CTCは[(CS1・DOL)/(t−2・DOL)]に等しく、ここでCTCはMPaで表され、−37.6ln(t)(MPa)+48.7(MPa)より大きく、前記第二領域はさらに達成された中心張力CTAを備え、ここでCTAはMPaで表され、−37.6ln(t)(MPa)+48.7(MPa)以下である、第二領域と
を含み、
前記第一領域が、

- 前記ガラスが、アルカリ金属酸化物を有するアルカリアルミノケイ酸塩ガラスであり、前記アルカリ金属はNaまたはKから成る、請求項1に記載のガラス。
- 前記圧縮応力の最大値CS1が少なくとも400MPaである、請求項1に記載のガラス。
- 前記層深さDOLは少なくとも50μmである、請求項1に記載のガラス。
- 前記ガラスがイオン交換されたものである、請求項1に記載のガラス。
- 表面および0.05mmから1.3mmの範囲の厚さtを有するイオン交換ガラスであって、
当該ガラスは、圧縮応力CS下にあり当該ガラスの層深さDOLまで広がる第一領域および、引張応力下にあり前記層深さDOLから当該ガラス中に広がる第二領域とを有し、
前記第二領域について、三角近似によって決定される値CTCは[(CS1・DOL)/(t−(2・DOL))]と等しく、ここで、CTCはMPaで表され、−37.6ln(t)(MPa)+48.7(MPa)より大きく、
前記第一領域は、前記表面から前記層深さDOL未満である第一深さd1まで広がる第一セグメントおよび、前記第一深さd1から前記層深さDOLまで広がる第二セグメントを有し、
前記第一セグメントにおいて、前記圧縮応力CSは前記表面において最大値CS1であり、第一誤差関数に従って変化し、
前記第二セグメントにおいて、前記圧縮応力CSは、第二関数に従って変化し、前記圧縮応力が前記第二セグメント中に極大CS 2 を有し、ここで、CS 1 >CS 2 であり、
ここで、前記第一誤差関数は、前記第二関数とは異なるものであり、
前記第二領域はさらに、達成された中心張力CTAを備え、ここでCTAはMPaで表され、−37.6ln(t)(MPa)+48.7(MPa)以下である、
