- バインダと、チタン、クロム、バナジウム、ジルコニウム、ハフニウム、タンタル、モリブデン、ニオビウム及びタングステンから選択された少なくとも1つの遷移金属の炭化物の硬質粒子とを含む焼結炭化物を含んでいる加工部分と、
前記焼結炭化物よりも高い熱伝導率を有しているヒートシンク材料からなるヒートシンク部分であって、前記加工部分と熱的に連通しているヒートシンク部分と、を含む物品。 - 請求項1に記載の物品であり、

当該本体部分と接触しており且つ銅、アルミニウム、銀、金、シリコンカーバイド、窒化アルミニウム、窒化硼素、アルミニウムシリコンカーバイド、酸化ベリリウム、シリコン−シリコンカーバイド、銅タングステン合金、銅モリブデンカーバイド、炭素、ダイヤモンド及びグラファイトのうちの少なくとも1つを含んでいる物質を含んでおり、前記焼結炭化物より高い熱伝導率を有しているヒートシンク部分であって、前記切削部分と熱的に連通しており且つ当該切削部分から熱を伝導させて逃がす前記ヒートシンク部分と、を含んでいる物品。 - シールリングであり、
チタン、クロム、バナジウム、ジルコニウム、ハフニウム、タンタル、モリブデン、ニオビウム及びタングステンから選択された少なくとも1つの遷移金属の炭化物からなる硬質粒子と、コバルト、ニッケル及び鉄のうちの少なくとも1つを含んでいるバインダとを含んでいる焼結炭化物を含む接触部分であって、更に、接触面を含んでいる第一の面を備えている接触部分と、
前記接触部分を支持しており且つ内部に凹部を規定している第二の面を備えており、前記第一の面と第二の面との間に環状の内壁が延びており且つ当該内壁は前記第一の面と第二の面との間に環状の内壁が延びており且つ当該内壁は前記第一の面と第二の面との間に延びている穴と、当該第一の面及び第二の面上に開口部を規定している本体部分と、
銅、アルミニウム、銀、金、シリコンカーバイド、窒化アルミニウム、窒化硼素、アルミニウムシリコンカーバイド、酸化ベリリウム、シリコン−シリコンカーバイド、銅タングステン合金、銅モリブデンカーバイド、炭素、ダイヤモンド及びグラファイトのうちの少なくとも1つを含んでいる物質を含んでおり、前記焼結炭化物より高い熱伝導率を有しているヒートシンク部分であって、当該ヒートシンク部分の少なくとも一部分が前記凹部内に配置されており、更に、前記加工部分と熱的に連通しており且つ当該加工部分から熱を伝導させて逃がす前記ヒートシンク部分と、を含んでいる物品。 - 物品を形成する方法であり、
チタン、クロム、バナジウム、ジルコニウム、ハフニウム、タンタル、モリブデン、ニオビウム及びタングステンから選択された少なくとも1つの遷移金属の炭化物の硬質粒子とバインダとを含んでいる焼結炭化物を含んでいる加工部分を提供するステップと、
前記加工部分と熱的に連通しており且つ前記焼結炭化物よりも高い熱伝導率を有しているヒートシンク材料を含んでいるヒートシンク部分を提供するステップと、を含む方法。 - 請求項26に記載の方法であり、
前記ヒートシンク部分が接触している本体部分を提供するステップを更に含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項27に記載の方法であり、
前記加工部分が切削部分と接触部分とのうちの少なくとも一方であることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項27に記載の方法であり、
前記加工部分が接触部分であり、前記物品が、圧延機ロール及びシールリングから選択されたものであることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項27に記載の方法であり、
前記加工部分が切削部分であり、前記物品が、ボーリングビット、切り刃インサート、切削工具、回転工具、回転工具インサート、ドリル、ナイフ及びスリッタから選択されたものであることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項27に記載の方法であり、
加工部分を提供すること及び本体部分を提供することのうちの少なくとも一方が、焼結炭化物を含む焼結された本体を提供することを含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項27に記載の方法であり、
前記ヒートシンク部分を、圧入、熱嵌め、締結部材による取り付け、半田付け、接着剤による取り付け、クランピングのうちの少なくとも1つによって、機械的に物品に取り付けることを更に含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項31に記載の方法であり、
前記焼結された本体が凹部を備えており、
ヒートシンク部分を提供するステップが、当該ヒートシンク材料を前記凹部内に配置することを含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項27に記載の方法であり、
前記ヒートシンク材料が、固体、溶融材料、粉体及びこれらの2以上の組み合わせから選択されることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項34に記載の方法であり、
前記ヒートシンク材料が固体からなり、
前記ヒートシンク部分を提供するステップが、固体を前記凹部内に熱嵌めすること及び圧入することのうちの少なくとも一方を含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項35に記載の方法であり、
前記ヒートシンク材料が粉末化されたヒートシンク材料を含んでおり、
ヒートシンク部分を提供するステップが、前記粉体を前記凹部内に配置し且つ当該粉体を前記凹部内に機械的に取り付けるために固定プラグを前記凹部内に配置することを含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項34に記載の方法であり、
加工部分を提供すること及び本体部分を提供するステップが、型の空洞内に焼結炭化物粉末を部分的に充填することを含んでおり、
ヒートシンク部分を提供するステップが、ヒートシンク材料を空洞内に配置することを含み、前記ヒートシンク材料は、固体であり且つ焼結炭化物粉末の焼結温度よりも高い融点を有しており、
更に、前記焼結炭化物粉末とヒートシンク材料とは、前記焼結炭化物粉末の焼結温度まで加熱され、当該焼結温度は、前記ヒートシンク材料の溶融温度よりも低いことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項37に記載の方法であり、
前記ヒートシンク材料を前記空洞内に配置する前に、前記焼結炭化物粉末を空洞内で固めるステップを更に含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項37に記載の方法であり、
前記ヒートシンク材料を前記空洞内に配置するステップに続いて及び前記焼結炭化物粉末及びヒートシンク材料を焼結炭化物粉末の焼結温度まで加熱するステップの前に、前記焼結炭化物粉末及び前記ヒートシンク材料を固めるステップを更に含み、
前記焼結温度は、前記ヒートシンク材料の溶融温度よりも低いことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項37に記載の方法であり、
前記空洞内に前記ヒートシンク材料を配置するステップの前に、前記焼結炭化物粉末を固めて第一の圧粉体を提供するステップと、
焼結温度まで加熱するステップの前に、前記圧粉体及び前記ヒートシンク材料を固めて第二の圧粉体を提供するステップ、を更に含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項27に記載の方法であり、
前記ヒートシンク材料が、銅、アルミニウム、銀、金、シリコンカーバイド、窒化アルミニウム、窒化硼素、アルミニウムシリコンカーバイド、酸化ベリリウム、シリコン−シリコンカーバイド、銅タングステン合金、銅モリブデンカーバイド、炭素、ダイヤモンド、グラファイト及びこれらの2以上の組み合わせから選択された材料を含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項27に記載の方法であり、
前記バインダが、コバルト、ニッケル及び鉄のうちの少なくとも1つを含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項27に記載の方法であり、
前記焼結炭化物が混成の焼結炭化物を含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項27に記載の方法であり、
前記焼結炭化物が0.3〜10μmの平均粒径を有するタングステンカーバイド粒子を含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項27に記載の方法であり、
前記ヒートシンク材料が50W/mKより高い熱伝導率を有していることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項27に記載の方法であり、
型の空洞内に第一の焼結炭化物粉末を部分的に充填するステップと、
前記空洞の残りの部分に少なくとも部分的に、第二の焼結炭化物粉末を充填するステップであって、当該第二の焼結炭化物粉末は、当該第二の焼結炭化物粉末の焼結温度よりも低い溶融温度を有する不安定な材料を含んでいるステップと、
前記第一の焼結炭化物及び第二の焼結炭化物を固めて圧粉体を形成するステップと、
当該圧粉体を焼結させて前記不安定な材料を除去し且つ第一の焼結炭化物の領域と連続気孔を含んでいる第二の焼結炭化物の領域とを含んでいる焼結された物品を形成するステップと、
前記第二の焼結炭化物の連続気孔内に、前記第一の焼結炭化物より高い熱伝導率を有しているヒートシンク材料を配置することと、を含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項46に記載の方法であり、
前記ヒートシンク材料が、銅、アルミニウム、銀及び金のうちの少なくとも1つを含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 加工部分と、当該加工部分を支持している本体部分とを含んでいる物品を形成する方法であり、
前記加工部分を含んでいる焼結された本体であって、チタン、クロム、バナジウム、ジルコニウム、ハフニウム、タンタル、モリブデン、ニオビウム及びタングステンから選択された少なくとも1つの遷移金属の炭化物の硬質粒子を含んでいる焼結炭化物と、コバルト、ニッケル及び鉄のうちの少なくとも1つを含んでいるバインダとを含んでいる焼結された本体を準備するステップと、
前記焼結された本体に、ヒートシンク材料であって、銅、アルミニウム、銀、金、シリコンカーバイド、窒化アルミニウム、窒化硼素、アルミニウムシリコンカーバイド、酸化ベリリウム、シリコン−シリコンカーバイド、銅タングステン合金、銅モリブデンカーバイド、炭素、ダイヤモンド及びグラファイトのうちの少なくとも1つを含み、前記焼結された本体と接触しており、前記焼結炭化物より高い熱伝導率を有し、前記加工部分と熱的に連通していて当該加工部分から熱を伝導させる前記ヒートシンク材料を添加するステップと、を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項48に記載の方法であり、
前記加工部分が接触面を含んでいる接触部分であり、前記物品が、圧延機ロール及びシールリングから選択されたものであることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項49に記載の方法であり、
前記加工部分が切削面を含んでいる切削部分であり、前記物品が、ボーリングビット、切り刃インサート、切削工具、回転工具、回転工具インサート、ドリル、ナイフ及びスリッタから選択されたものであることを特徴とする方法。
