Purpose: This study aims to address preventing head injuries and concussions among college football players. It investigates various tactics and measures intended to lessen the frequency and severity of these injuries.
Design/ Methodology/ Approach: A comprehensive survey of pertinent literature was conducted for determining viable solutions to prevent concussion, namely helmet design (Rowson et al., 2014), training methodology (Shanley et al., 2021), and policy implementation (Emery et al., 2017; Obana et al., 2021). The decision matrix was used as a tool to evaluate and compare different options, which were assessed based on the criteria of the least amount of political or media resistance, ease of measurement, convenience of implementation, and maximum purpose.
Findings: Policy development, player education, equipment improvements, and medical assistance are important components. College football can successfully reduce the risk of concussions and head injuries among its players by implementing thorough concussion management policies and protocols that prioritize player safety, encouraging a culture of awareness and responsibility, and utilizing advancements in protective equipment technology.
Research Limitation: As leaders, stakeholders, and individual practitioners all have various roles to play, further studies may be conducted to explore these roles. The researchers may also evaluate the effectiveness of prevention and treatment strategies for reducing concussions in college football.
Managerial Implications: In order to safeguard the long-term health and safety of players, this study underlines the significance of giving player well-being a high priority and putting forth specific preventive measures.
Originality/ Value: The study is an addition to the current body of knowledge, as it brings into spotlight some important improvements which can be strengthened as well as streamlined at the local, national, and worldwide levels, and thus the industry and sports professionals may play a big part in resolving this issue.

Abstract
Purpose: The study aims to investigate how and when the oil and gas industry adopts industry best practices and enhanced standards addressing process safety and operational integrity after catastrophic events. Design/Methodology/Approach: We reviewed the literature available for disastrous incidents that shaped the oil and gas industry with a special reference to three distinct catastrophic events: Piper Alpha (1988), Deepwater Horizon (2010) and Ku-Maloob-Zapp (KUMAZA) (2021). Three primary case studies were evaluated to understand the cycle of creation and adoption of industrial standards meant to address risk management related to process safety and operational integrity in the industry. Findings: We have proposed an adoption cycle for how the industry reacts to catastrophic events, with respect to the adoption of best practices, and creation of enhanced standards, to address the root causes of these events. System 1 thinking dominated initial reactions to each catastrophic event, through the integration of existing standards. System 2 thinking drives the formulation of enhanced standards which more thoroughly deal with additional factors which contributed to compelling events. Research Limitations: Future research may explore the nuances related to the timeline for adoption of industry best practices once a standard is published by API, ISO, or another SME. These nuances could include different organizational profiles for companies adopting a standard. Managerial Implications: This study offered insights into risk management as applied to process safety in oil and gas operations. There exists a lag between the creation of industry best practices through the publication of standards, and the adoption of these practices. Originality/Value: Future researchers may research and generalize findings beyond the current parameters of this study. Key Words: Operational Integrity, Process Safety, Quality Systems, Risk Management, Risk Mitigation, Safety Standards.

The paper explores the socio-economic and political environment of Norway. It became an independent country
in 1905 and was one of the world leaders in shipbuilding and an important global transporter of goods. Over
the last hundred years, offshore oil and natural gas have become Norway’s prominent industry and it is currently
one of the world’s leading exporters of petroleum. The research design employed is the qualitative research
methodology. Review of existing publications such as journals, newspaper books etc. was carried out. Norway’s
population has elevated levels of education and of productivity, and it is among the world’s top innovative
countries. It is also very highly rated for ease of doing business. Norway has one of the strongest democracies
in the world and is one of the world’s least corrupt countries. Overall, it may prove to be one of the least risky
countries to deal with in terms of political soundness, as well as in the strength of its economy. Qualitative
methodology requires more time to review a good number of publications. One of the limitations of this research is time. This paper provides comprehensive analysis of Norway’s socio-economic and political environments. Thus, the paper should be useful to MNCs who plan to invest in existing companies in Norway or start up a new business in Norway. It highlights the opportunities and the risks of doing business in Norway. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) environment and regulations, financial and fiscal policies, and most other important aspects of the country that should be considered before doing business in the country are critically reviewed in this paper.

This article provides a historical overview of the evolution of Russia and the Russian Federation and how its rulers contributed to the current economic and political landscape leading to the invasion of Ukraine. Additionally, the article includes cultural dimensions, international indexes and rankings which frame Russia’s current state of affairs. President Putin’s background and orchestrations during his reign further explain Russia’s situation with possible trajectories for the Russian Federation. The research design employed secondary research of published materials. The research then provided a starting point from which four scenarios describing Russia’s future were developed. The Russian Federation is at a crossroads. Given its unprovoked attack on Ukraine in February 2022, Russia has been forcibly decoupled from the global financial and global trade systems. Currently, Russia is losing the Ukraine War and future scenarios for Russia are bounded between a pessimistic scenario and an optimistic scenario. The pessimistic scenario is one in which Russia again becomes a totalitarian state that has limited economic contact with countries of the Western alliance. The optimistic scenario is one in which Putin is deposed, the country’s political system turns away from dictatorship and Russia rejoins the globalized world economy. This study was conducted using a qualitative approach. This approach meant that a time-intensive review of a large number of publications was necessary. However, given the timely nature of the topic, the article excludes developments reported after December 2022 to develop four plausible future scenarios for Russia. This article seeks to understand the Russian Federation’s future trajectory and how this trajectory will affect trade, foreign direct investment, economics, and business. This article critically examines Russia’s political, economic and social environments, as well as the sanctions that have been placed on Russia circa December 2022. These materials allow analysts to better understand Russia’s decoupling from the global economic environment and if Russia might return to the global economic environment or not.

The topic of DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) was researched from the perspective of support for DEI activities. Demographic variables focused on females, and males, age, level of education, position within the organization and the organization's size were examined through exploratory research. The research pointed to females being more supportive of DEI activities as compared to males. Younger employees were more supportive of DEI as compared to older employees. Higher-educated employees were more supportive of DEI activities as compared to less educated employees and employees, in general, were more supportive of DEI activities as compared to upper management except when separating the upper management responses between smaller and larger organizations. Upper-level management at larger organizations, organizations of 100+ employees, were supportive of DEI activities as compared to upper-level management at organizations with less than 100 employees. The research provides insights into demographic groups that might benefit from additional coaching in understanding the value of a DEI initiative.

Large financial institutions, sometimes described as "too big to fail" (TBTF), are the epicenter of economic recessions through the past century. While literature has narrowed a set of causes for major recessions, such as in the Great Recession, fewer attempts have been identified to place each event in context as a series. By comparing causes, treatments, and outcomes of major recessions through the past century with a global perspective, beginning with the Great Depression and ending with the COVID-19 Recession, trends in governmental policy emerge as a framework in which recessions occur and are addressed. The use of fiscal relief packages, or "bailouts," and deregulation of mergers, acquisitions, and derivative swaps are assessed as factors in the expansion of the TBTF mentality.

ABSTRACT - Purpose: This study explored the relationship between organizational culture, leadership, and implementation of CRM implementation in international banks operating in Tanzania, namely Barclays bank, Standard Chartered, Stanbic and Citibank. CRM is the backbone of an organisation, as it focuses on customer retention through understanding customers’ needs and by maximizing the value customers perceive to be benefiting from their product/service provider. Methodology/ Approach: A qualitative approach was adopted for conducting this exploratory study for which the data was collected, using online surveys. Findings: This study identified weaknesses such as in the type of leadership style, lack of top management commitment and support, coordination and corroboration as factors affecting the implementation of CRM at Barclays bank, Standard Chartered, Stanbic and Citibank banks. Implications: The organizations need to implement a suitable leadership style that is engaging and committed with top management involvement and coordination as for better CRM implementation. Furthermore, the study identified major mismatch of culture affects implementation of CRM. Originality/ Value: Based on the four case studies, this study illuminated the need for organizations to promote cooperative organizational culture. Promoting a culture of corroboration and engagement organizations can avoid conflicts in implementing a good CRM system. Abstract:
For this study, we used a convenience sample of students from Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota, to see if student athletes have more self-reported stress than non-athletes. "Student -Life Stress Inventory: Identification of and Reactions to Stressors," by Gadzella (1991), was the source of our survey of which 43 athletes and 45 non-athletes participated in the survey, citing academic, environmental, intrapersonal, and interpersonal stressors. We compared six different tests: male athlete versus female athlete, male nonathlete versus female nonathlete, athletes versus nonathletes, male athletes versus male nonathletes, female athletes versus female nonathletes, those with a job versus those without a job, and those with above a 3.0 GPA versus those under a 3.0 GPA. In every category except academics, women were more stressed. Males, on the other hand, were more stressed in the academic aspect. Four of the seven were deemed to be inconsequential academically, whereas the other three were noteworthy. Male athletes are more stressed than female athletes, male nonathletes are more stressed than female nonathletes, and employed students are less worried than those who are jobless, according to the three academically relevant assessments.

Purpose: This study has been conducted to gain insight and understanding of how downtown culture is perceived by college students. Methodology/ Approach: The data collected were from students at a small university in a small town of fewer than 50,000 people. Of the 120 responses, 30% came from students who were originally from city, 26% came from students from somewhere else in the state, 22% came from students that were originally from somewhere else in the country besides the state, and 17% are from international students. We employed a 28-question survey based on personal opinion of downtown culture and how involved students are there in the said culture. Findings: The results indicate that it would be very beneficial if downtown area held more events that are open to the whole community. It is especially important to hold events that include our diverse population of people who are from out of state or from a country abroad that are similar to military appreciation events. Implications: The future studies may investigate community/university student partnerships through interdisciplinary outreach and participation as well as service-learning. Value: The universities can play a significant role as innovation and research hubs, bringing together public, commercial, and non-profit institutions.

Abstract:
This paper explored the consumers’ level of organizational trust in deciding to buy from local businesses versus from corporations. This was done by investigating benevolence and integrity as constructs of trust and explored the impact of affective commitment. This paper also explored if demographics namely gender, education level, age, employment status and year in school (if they are currently attending school), had any impact on the consumers’ benevolence, integrity and affective commitment. The result of this study showed that gender did not affect the decision to purchase from local business or from corporation. Age and educational level also did not have any impact of purchase decisions. However, employed participants were committed to businesses that they frequented. Participants who felt that customer service and  customer reviews were important felt a higher level of affective commitment towards businesses that they frequented.

ABSTRACT -
Introduction/Main Objectives: This study investigated preferred leadership styles across Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Millennials. The autocratic, participative, and laissez-faire were identified as most prevalent styles; and were assessed to explore how the leadership styles across generations affect the role of leadership. Background Problems: Although leadership styles and perspectives have been investigated from divergent angles, the preferred leadership styles have not been explored adequately across generations. Novelty: This study endeavored at filling the gap in literature, and to provide direction to stakeholders, as regards the preference of each generation for a particular leadership style. Research Methods: An exploratory research design was used for this study and questionnaire items were adopted from the Globe Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness (GLOBE) project. The sample was obtained from adults over the age of eighteen from the Midwest USA and Canada. Finding/Results: The study confirmed the generally accepted hypothesis that Baby Boomers tend to be workaholics and career driven. The study provides direction and motivation for further confirmatory and exploratory studies pertaining to preferred leadership styles vis-à-vis generation as well as demographic, geographic and cross-cultural variables. Conclusion: Generation X is highly focused on family, life, and work. The millennial generation has modern values and believe in treating everyone equally, though with a desire to be the center of attention for stealing the spotlight.

The 2020 United Nation General Assembly (UNGA), India and China made its global address. Of the many issues, they both touched on the COVID-19 pandemic. India made its mark on emphasising its role in combating the virus and China made global commitments in aiding the battle. A testament of true statesman addresses. However, India and China are battling another enemy, its borders, and they had been at it for decades Unresolved. As the world accelerates towards recovery and vaccination, not much can be said of the India-China relationship. Ironically, both are working together in battling the pandemic, but are seen divided on matters pertaining towards global economy, the role they play in the world, and globalization reform structures. This study looked at the relationship of India and China at the point of UNGA and post COVID-19. Based on historical association and ongoing trade bilateralism, India and China are tattered over a common issue. In a post pandemic world, they would emerge stronger with each other rather than being apart, but it is subject to foreign interferences, India’s veto powers on the security council and the US-China influences. From Nehru and Mao, to Modi and Xi, this unwavering relationship witnessed changing headwinds for seven decades, but now the winds are again changing.

With the recent economic crisis, in having a petroleum-based economy, Norway has withstood the fluctuation in the international business sector. Indeed, the Norwegian economy is prosperous despite the global recession. There is a positive outlook in the Norwegian market and there are no major deterrents for emerging business leaders. Nevertheless, the high taxation and high cost of living along with the eventual depletion of oil deposits may impact long term investment opportunities in Norway. Fortunately, in anticipation of oil and gas production decline, Norway has been preparing for a sustainable future by creating a petroleum fund with global investment portfolios. So, with a stable, well educated workforce, good labor relations, well developed infrastructure and technology along with low corruption statistics and a high standard of living, Norway emerges as a solid market and global investment opportunity.

With the vast globalization of the world and fast-paced development of international business ties between different states, a country's cultural history, and ways of governance play a big role in building international business relationships. One of the big risks for businesses longing to penetrate a foreign market is corruption (1). Thus, the relationship of corruption with religion, cultural factors, and development indicators are relevant subjects to examine. To address these issues, a study examining corruption as it pertains to religion is proposed.
