      Her writing just gets better and better, and the narrators do a terrific job. Highly recommend.

      I typical love Lisa Jewell’s books but this one was way to hard to follow. It jumped between 4-5 people all with different names, over a 4 year span. It goes back and forth. Waaay to confusing.

      Stopped with 6 hours left. Honestly this story is boring. It’s the same exact thing happening over and over and over again just in different “flavors” and I’m so disappointed, usually Lisa’s stuff is good but this one just dragsss.

      I did NOT like this book at all. There were far too many characters to keep straight and I found the redundancy of manipulation of all the women in the book rather tiring. The ending was actually bizarre too (IMHO), with no closure at all…….I’m quite happy to be done with THIS one?

      I still have 4 hours to go, but all the female characters (save Ash) are driving me insane! I understand manipulation too well, but the levels of naivety are unbelievable. Especially Amanda, that whole story arc was annoying on many levels, especially as I share her name.
      Overall a great story, with excellent narration. I just wish the female characters had more backbone. Hopefully the story will have a satisfying ending.

      This story started out slow in the beginning, and then I was completely engaged. Yes, the main character is the most horrid person imaginable. I am in awe in the fact that women do let men in their life like this to have their way and to manipulate them to leave them heartbroken and so forth (not to allude too much to spoil the story) I was wanting the main character to get his just desserts and you'll have to take a listen to find out if he does. This was very well crafted, with so many POVs that all came together in the end. It's surprisingly good.

      It was a gripping story, and I enjoyed it throughout, looking forward to listening to the excellent narrators, but it wrapped up somewhat unrealistically at the end so more like 4.5 stars.

      Another amazing book! Lisa Jewel is a gem of a writer!! We need more audiobooks…I have listened to them all! Makes my time in the car and walks go by fast!

      Super dark character who is also charming. Creepy, but draws you in ! Scamming to the extreme. Keep in mind the main character slips on a disguise by simply changing his name!!

      You just have to read it. The story is a little bit insane like damn amount of time this dude put into the manipulation and lies. He was telling is unreal and just wow but believability of how toxicity can work without needing to be physically abusive, but to get in your brain, I mean it was just a wild ride but a wildly amazing ride like I thoroughly enjoyed it so so much Very very well done thank you Lisa!!!!!
      Now I need another book so I’m so sad lol !

      Great Narration! However, the first 2/3 of the book was so very confusing. I didn’t know who-was-who and where the story was in time. VERY confusing! I had to get ChapGTP to help me. Once I got the characters figured out, I was able to really sit back and enjoy the story.
