About this audiobook

She's looking for the perfect man. He's looking for the perfect victim.

Sydney Shaw, like every single woman in New York, has terrible luck with dating. She's seen it all: men who lie in their dating profile, men who stick her with the dinner bill, and worst of all, men who can't shut up about their mothers. But finally, she hits the jackpot.

Her new boyfriend is utterly perfect. He's charming, handsome, and works as a doctor at a local hospital. Sydney is swept off her feet.

Then the brutal murder of a young woman―the latest in a string of deaths across the coast―confounds police. The primary suspect? A mystery man who dates his victims before he kills them.

Sydney should feel safe. After all, she is dating the guy of her dreams. But she can't shake her own suspicions that the perfect man may not be as perfect as he seems. Because someone is watching her every move, and if she doesn't get to the truth, she'll be the killer's next victim…

My main issue with the book is pretty much the same issue a lot of other readers had. Why is the female lead character so DUMB?!? The fact that a woman wrote this book made it even more confusing. From the first chapter she was making the most unrelatable decisions I’ve ever known a character to make! She literally decided to not contact police because the “possible suspect” was about to propose to her friend and she didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings! I couldn’t wait for this audiobook to finish just so I could tell you not to bother with it! Maybe the HouseMaid is a better option. I’ll check that out.

Kinda funny book. Light easy listen and some laughs. Finding a readers voice that I like can be challenging but this persons voice worked for me.

This was a good book by Freida! As always, I loved the switching POVs, and I especially liked the switching of Past/Present timelines in this book. This was one of her books where the ending had me very surprised. I can typically figure out where Freida is going with some of her storylines, but this one was an exception. Overall, this one gets a thumbs up from me! ?

It was okay — the dialogue feels a little stiff and a lot of it felt predictable. Also, if you can’t stomach a bit of gore imagery, then this isn’t for you.

I enjoyed the plot twists and turns but the characters are not very likable and lack depth. If you’re looking for an audiobook that won’t make you think too hard while cleaning the house or working out, this is what you’re looking for.

Out of the three books this one was my favorite. The teacher, the inmate, and the boyfriend. This one had the most unique ending. I was thinking it was another one of those books where they just think we're not going to remember about a certain character and then poof they do.
