About this audiobook

Victoria Barnett has it all: a great career as a nurse practitioner, a handsome and loving husband, a beautiful home in the suburbs, and a plan to fill it with children. Life is perfector so it seems. Then shes in a terrible accident and everything falls apart. Now Victoria is unable to walk. She cant feed or dress herself. She cant even speak. She is confined to the top floor of her house with twenty-four-hour care. Sylvia Robinson is hired by Victorias husband to help care for her. But it turns out Victoria isnt as impaired as Sylvia was led to believe. Theres a story Victoria desperately wants to tell if only she could get the words out. Then Sylvia discovers Victorias diary hidden away in a drawer. And whats inside is shocking.

Great story. McFadden always has twists and turns and you think you know where they are going and then you don’t!

The storyline was cheesy. I think anyone with a brain would have jumped right to the end of Victoria’s diary once you read that the husband was starting to be abusive… and then would have connected the dots almost immediately. Not my favorite

Though the author is a good story teller there are again some major logical leaps. The backbone of the story together with different twists and turns are fairly well made but often lacking the time frame to make sense. Since there is no particular depth to the characters and their surrounding environment it's a good read for killing time.

Yes this was a good one. As usual for this author, don't take anything for granted! I really liked the narrator, especially the soft voice she used for Victoria. A few tiny flaws in the plot but nothing that spoils it.

This was a horrible book. I fast forward during most of it. I didn't care for the writing. Also the male voices were beyond awful. No bueno over all.
