      Meh. With a large number of threads left hanging (ex cocaine in the pocket) I found it sloppy. Also a bleak portrayal of English culture.

      Crazy tale that did really hold my interest. Some of the twists were unexpected. Some not. But still, a good read/listen. It was hard to believe that smart Alex could be so gullible. Walter was very weird. I was not a fan of Nathan. The narration was terrific and the added background noises made me think that this was my dad was mesmerized by the radio shows he would tell us about. My only criticism - almost too much going on. The story was a roller coaster though. I loved the ride!

      This was a cool story. It started slow..so push through. By chapter 3, I was hooked. By chapter 5, I was listening for hours at a time (the audio equivalent of couldn't put it down lol) you can kinda see where it's going... or...so you think...
      It is disturbing, sad, creepy, fustrating, and has you saying wtf...at least twice a chapter. If you like "Listen for the lie"... you'll like this and vice versa.

      I recommend it.

      Thank god it’s finally over. What a badly written plot. The observations are, as always, keen and apt….but at this point seem formulaic, well practiced filler and fodder. No respect for the reader though…what’s going on Jewell?

      I highly recommend this audiobook!!! The production and cast is FANTASTIC!

      I thought the story was great it gives you enough to know what’s kinda wrong but still get lots of good twists. Not a good thriller for anyone that wants to be surprised, this is almost like a true crime doc you try to put together is it comes out

      None of This is True
      Maaaan. I've had this on my TBR FOREVER. Why did I not read it sooner?
      This was a creepy, dark, and twisty thriller. I loved every second of it! I finished it so fast, I couldn't stop!
      I was soooo into this book. There were a few times I yelled, " WHAT THE F*CK" while reading. ?
      I don't know why I put this book off for so long, but I'm glad I finally read it!
      Definitely recommend!

      I enjoyed this. So many popular psychological thrillers are really poorly written and require you to check your brain at the cover page. This one was pretty good!

      As always Lisa Jewell leaves me wondering. Wondering which story is true which is a falsified memory. Lisa is an auto buy author for me and if she wrote a menu I’d probably eat everything on it just to see if I could figure out what it actually was in the dish.

      I was kind of annoyed at the start because I just finished another book that had the same podcast/mystery plot and wasn’t sure if now was a good time to start this so I could fully enhance it but it was worth it because by the end I felt myself not wanting the story to end so I waited days to finish to avoid feeling that emptiness. Morbid curiosity won out though and I finished to my hearts delight. Can’t wait for my next Lisa Jewell read…
