Abstract
534,638. Liquid fuel burners. BRUCE, D. R., and NEW LONDON PIPELESS HEATING, Ltd. Sept. 8, 1939, No. 25433. [Class 75 (i)] Liquid fuel supplied under pressure through an inlet 15 in a casing 1 to a pipe 2 and steam, air or other fluid under pressure supplied through a pipe 3 mix in a chamber 21 and then pass through converging passages 10 in a block 9 to the centre of a domed surface 12 in the block for further mixture in a second chamber 22 from which the mixture is discharged into the furnace through a saw-cut 14 or apertures formed in the end face or cylindrical wall of an adjustable injection nozzle 13. The pressure fluid may be supplied through passages 18 in the casing 1 to a chamber 19 formed by a cap 20 on the casing and enters the pipe 3 through a one-way valve 8.
