Abstract

397,549. Concrete piles. HOOD, A., 181A, Adelaide Road, Hampstead, London. Feb. 26, 1932, No. 5800. [Class 68 (ii).] A concrete pile of the kind comprising pre-cast tubular body units placed end to end in a preparatory tube and bonded by a grout of concrete is characterized by the provision of tie members, e.g. rings, passed near the ends of each of the units, and serving to connect longitudinal reinforcing rods. As shown in the Figure, the members are flat rings d with perforations through which the rods f are threaded.
