Abstract

382,586. Piles. BARR, J. F., Killineer House, Drogheda, Co. Louth, Irish Free State. June 15, 1932, No. 16902. [Class 68 (ii).] A concrete pile consists of two sections, the upper section being of larger section than the lower ; the overlap between the sections is filled with jointing-material, and both sections are rammed simultaneously and filled with concrete. The Figure shows a bottom section 1 with a point 2, and a top section 4. Packing 5 is placed between them, and they are driven simultaneously by a rammer 3 with a crosshead 6. The tubes 1, 4 are then filled with reinforcements and concrete. The tubes preferably are those described in Specification 350,707, [Group V].
