Piles. - Concrete piling for foundations, comprising the use of short piles 1, 2 connected to form long poles, is characterized by sleeves 3 which abut on enlargements 7, 9 on the piles, and are filled in with cement. The sleeves 3 may be of reinforced concrete; they should be clear of the projecting parts 10 which they surround, and longer than their combined lengths.
