 A review of a visit to a natural wonder in Egypt.
Life is full of experiences. We visited one of Egypt's natural
wonders. It is called Gebel Elba . It is a national park that is
surrounded by grasslands. It is located between the Red Sea
coast and the mountains. It took its name from the mountain in
the middle of it. The park is home to many animals and birds. Its
location should help to protect the wildlife there. It is a nice
place . We went back home late . It was an amazing day . I did
many activities. I spent a great time there . The weather was
nice. It was very amazing trip. It is an awesome place .

There are a lot of kinds of mongooses in the world. A mongoose
has a long body, with short legs and a long tail. •Their bodies are
covered by thick fur. They can see and hear very well. • They are
famous for fighting snakes. They are able to kill snakes by biting
them. They are found in Africa, Asia and parts of Europe. They
are endangered, because of deforestation .They are active
during the day and sleep at night. •They can live for up to ten
year in the wild.

 A review of types of habitats.
There are many different habitats around the world. Coastal
habitats are along the coast of the sea. Sea turtles live in the sea
and visit land for egg laying. Caracals live in grasslands because
they like to hide in the long grass. Warm, wet habitats that get

8
Mr. Hossam Abdalla

the most rain are called rainforests. Orangutans live in

rainforests . A wetland is a place where the land is often covered
by water.Frogs are wetland animals that are able to live on land
as well as in water. The areas that are covered by ice are called
polar habitats. The polar bear is one of the few animals that can
live in a polar habitat.

There are a lot of traditional arts in Egypt. Weaving is an
important Egyptian tradition. There aren't many traditional
weavers in Egypt today. Weavers use a machine called a loom. •
Weavers can make very beautiful things. • I was surprised to

make plastic bags. They found a way to make old plastic bags
into long threads. I visited the Reform Studio in Cairo.

 A review of ( how to stop pollution –climate change .
 A review of what I do to help the environment.
 A review of how to protect our environment.
 A review of the of renewable and nonrenewable energy.
 Our planet is getting hotter and our weather is changing. •
There are many floods, droughts and forest fires. One of the
reasons for this is climate change. Climate change is caused by
greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide. These are made when
we burn fossil fuels such as oil. Rubbish in landfill sites makes a

9
Mr. Hossam Abdalla

greenhouse gas called methane. Trees absorb carbon dioxide

from the air. Deforestation also produces greenhouse gases. If
we keep burning fossil fuels, climate change will get worse. If
we recycle more paper, we can avoid cutting down our forests.
This will help slow down climate change. Climate change can
cause floods because of rising sea levels. When seawater comes
onto farms, the salt in the water kills the crops. If there were
more mangrove trees, there would be fewer floods. Mangrove
trees protect farms and communities from strong winds and
storms. Mangrove trees grow in the sea along the coast to
protect it from rising sea levels. We should protect our
environment! We should stop throwing rubbish in streets. We
should stop dropping waste in rivers. We should use renewable
energy . We should the public transport . It is important to plant
more trees. We mustn't cut down trees . We must face
deforestation. We should turn off lights and computers after
using them. We should use less plastic . It is important to use
reusable plastic bags . We should use reusable shopping bags .
To save electricity, we can use energy-saving light bulbs. Use an
electric car. Try to use a bamboo toothbrush.

 A review of recycling .
Recycling is very important to all of us . •We must start
recycling more rubbish and stop putting rubbish in landfill sites.
If we recycle more paper, we can avoid cutting down our forests.
Five classrooms in our school have a computer and a printer. At
the moment, we throw away the printer cartridges with the
school rubbish. • The ink inside printer cartridges is very bad
for the environment. • We want to start a school recycling
project. • We have asked our head teacher, if we can start a
recycling project, and he agreed. He will let us put a recycling box
in classrooms with printers. We have asked them to put the old
printer cartridges in the recycling boxes. We will take the
recycling boxes to the recycling center every month. We need
volunteers to help us. They can watch their favorite shows and
sports matches.

 A review of satellite technology.
We can't do without satellite technology. Since the late 20th
century, we have used satellite technology for many of the things
we do every day. Our lives would be very different without them.
Before satellites were invented; people had always used maps to
find their way. Now, most people use GPS. We have GPS in cars,
on phones and even in some modern motorbike helmets!
Satellites allow us to study the weather all around the world. •
They send photos of the Earth from space. Lots of people
have satellite TV. In some areas, satellites send signals to the

 A biography of Dr Farouk El-Baz.

Egypt has many famous scientists . One of those Egyptians is Dr
Farouk El-Baz. He is a great scientist and a geologist. Farouk El-
Baz was born on January 2, 1938, in Zagazig, Sharqia. In 1958, he
attended Ain Shams University. He worked with NASA in the
scientific exploration of the Moon and the planning of the Apollo
program. He used satellites to find underground water . He also
helped to show astronauts where they could find underground
water in the desert. Scientists had done a lot of research before
the first person walked on the moon. Farouk El-Baz helped to plan
where Apollo 11 should land on the moon. He taught astronauts
which rocks to take from the moon. • He is married, has four
daughters, and has seven grandchildren.

 A review about one of the planets in the solar system .
The sun, eight planets, and satellites make up the solar system.
The sun is a big burning star . The planets orbit the sun . Mars is
sometimes called the Red Planet. It's dry, rocky, and bitter cold.
It's The fourth planet from the Sun. • Mars is much colder than
our planet. It has two moons . It has a very thin atmosphere. •
Mars has an active atmosphere, but the surface of the planet
is not active. One year on Mars is 687 Earth days Mars has been
known since ancient times because it can be seen without
advanced telescopes. Several scientists have visited Mars.

 A review about a job that I would like to do in the future.

I would like to talk about the job I would like to do in the future.
I would like to be a nurse, my dream job. • Since I was a child, I
liked to help, caring for other special sick people. • From that
time until now, I decided to learn nursing. I want to care for sick
people . A nurse is a person who is trained to give care to people
who are sick or injured. Nurses work with doctors and other
health care workers to make patients well and to keep them fit
and healthy. Nursing is a profession, like a doctor, but training for
a nurse is different in how long a person must train . In some
places, nurses may train for three to five years or more before
they get a license as a nurse. Nurses work in many places.
Nurses work in hospitals, in doctor's offices, and in the
community.

 A review of driverless cars .

In the future, driverless cars will change all of our lives. We will
be able to travel anywhere without touching the controls. •
Driverless cars will also be better for the environment .They will
be electric . However, there are still some problems. •Car
companies will have to do lots of testing to make sure that the
cars are completely safe. •We will also have to make new laws. •
We might even have to change some of our road signs so that the
cars' computers can read them. • Some experts believe that we
will have to wait until 2030 at the earliest. Others think that
driverless cars will be here much sooner.

 A review of flying cars.

I researched flying cars. •We will be able to make flying cars .
Engineers think that flying cars will be more like helicopters than
planes. They will use electricity. Electric engines are not very
noisy. Cities are becoming busier and traffic on the ground is
becoming worse. Flying cars might be the answer to a lot of
problems. If there were flying cars, people could fly to work from
far away. Electric flying cars would make less pollution. A
company in Germany has developed a flying taxi.
