제1도는 본 발명에 의한 전형적인 촉매의 X-선 회전도에 관한 것이다.
제2도∼제4도는 비교용 촉매들의 X-선회절도에 관한 것이다.

Claims (22)

  1. (a) 이산화지르코늄 또는 (b) 이산화지르코늄 및 이트리아 및 칼시아로 구성된 군 중에서 선택된 적어도 한 종류에 의해 안정화된 산화세륨 입자, 내화성 무기산화물 입자, 촉매 조성물을 기준하여 0.02 내지 2중량%의 로듐, 및 촉매 조성물을 기준하여 0 내지 10중량%의 백금 및 팔라듐으로 구성된 군중에서 선택된 적어도 하나의 백금계 금속을 함유하는 촉매 조성물로 일체식 구조의 벌집형 담체를 피복시킴으로써 제조되는 배기가스 정화용 촉매.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 60 내지 200㎡/g 범위의 큰 비표면적을 갖는 지르코늄 산화물 또는 수산화물(i) 세륨염 또는 (ii) 세륨염 및 이트륨염 및 칼슘염으로 구성된 군중에서 선택된 적어도 1종의 염의 용액으로 침착 시키고, 수득된 침착시킨 입자를 건조시킨 다음, 건조 입자를 소성시킴으로써 상기의 안정화된 산화세륨 입자를 수득하는 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 세리아로서 상기의 안정화된 산화 세륨을 10 내지 50중량% 범위의 농도로 함유하며, 상기 안정화된 산화세륨의 X-선 회전스펙트럼 챠트에 산화세륨의 결정의 피크가 나타나지 않는 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 안정화된 산회세륨을 공기중에서 900℃의 온도에서 10시간동안 소성시킨 후에 수득한 상기 산화세륨의 X-선 회절 스펙트럼 챠트에 이사노하지르코늄의 정방 결정형 피크가 나타나며, 상기 세륨 산화물이 실질적으로 고체용액 형태로 배합되고, 이산화지르코늄의 상전이가 (a) 세리아 또는 (b) 세리아 및 이트리아 및 칼시아로 구성된 군중에서 선택된 적어도 1종에 의해 정방결정 형태로 안정화된 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 촉매 조성물이 10내지 80중량%의 범위에서 상기 안정화된 산화세륨 입자를 함유하는 배기가스 정화용 촉매.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기의 로듐을 상기 안정화된 산화세륨 입자 및 상기 내화성 무기 산화물 입자로 구성된 군중에서 선택된 적어도 1종의 입자상에 운반하는 배기 가스 정화 촉매.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기의 내화성 무기 산화물이 활성화된 알루미나, 실리카, 이산화티탄, 및 이산화지르코늄으로 구성된 군중에서 선택된 적어도 1종의 내화성 무기 산화물인 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 내화성 무기 산화물이 활성화된 알루미나인 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 활성화된 알루미나가 세륨, 이트륨, 란타늄, 네오디윰, 지르코늄, 철, 바륨, 니켈, 및 코발트로 구성된 군중에서 선택된 적어도 1종의 산화물을 함유하는 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  10. 제1항에 있어서, 상기의 안정화된 산화세륨이 이산화지르코늄으로 안정화된 산화세륨인 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 60내지 200㎡/g 범위의 비표면적을 갖는 이산화지르코늄을 세륨염으로 침착시키고, 수득된 침착시킨 이산화지크코늄을 소성시킴으로써 상기의 안정화된 산화 세륨을 수득하는 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  12. 제1항에 있어서, 백금 및 팔라듐으로 구성된 군정에서 선택된 상기의 백금계 금속의 양이 상기의 촉매 조성물의 양을 기준하여 0. 001 내지 5중량%의 범위에 포함되는 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  13. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 로듐을 상기의 내화성 무기산화물의 양을 기준하여 1내지 20중량% 범위의 양으로 운반하는 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  14. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 촉매 조성물이 로듐을 운반하지 않는 내화성 무기 산화물도 함유하는 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  15. 제1항에 있어서, 백금 및 팔라듐으로 구성된 군중에서 선택된 상기의 배극계 금속을 상기의 로듐을 운반하는 내화성 무기 산화물 및 상기의 안정화된 산화세륨으로 구성된 군중에서 선택된 적어도 1종으로 운반하는 배기가스 정화용 촉매.
  16. 제14항에 있어서, 백금 및 팔라듐으로 구성된 군중에서 선택된 상기의 백금계 금속을 상기의 로듐을 운반하는 내화성 무기 산화물, 상기의 안정화된 산화세륨 및 상기의 로듐을 운반하지 않는 내화성 무기 산화물로 구성된 군중에서 선택된 적어도 1종으로 운반하는 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  17. 제14항에 있어서, 상기의 로듐을 운반하지 않는 내화성 무기 산화물이 활성화된 알루미나 및 실리카로 구성된 군중에서 선택된 적어도 1종의 내화성 무기 산화물인 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  18. 제17항에 있어서, 상기의 내화성 무기 화합물이 활성화된 알루미나인 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  19. 제18항에 있어서, 상기의 활성화된 알루미나가 세룸, 이트륨, 란타늄, 네오디뮴, 지르코늄, 철, 바륨, 니켈, 및 코발트로 구성된 군중에서 선택된 적어도 1종의 산화물을 함유하는 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  20. 제6항에 있어서, 상기의 로듐을 운반하는 내화성 무기 산화물이 0.5내지 20㎛범위의 평균 지름을 갖는 응집 입자의 형태로 상기의 촉매 조성물에 함유되는 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  21. 제1항에 있어서, 상기의 운반되는 촉매 조성물의 양이 상기의 담체 1ℓ당 50내지 300g의 범위에 포함되는 배기 가스 정화용 촉매.
  22. 상기의 촉매 조성물의 양을 기준하여 0.02 내지 2중량% 범위의 양으로 로듐을 운반하는 내화성 무기산화물, (a) 이산화지르코늄 또는 (b) 이산화지르코늄 및 이트리아 및 칼시아로 구성된 군중에서 선택된 적어도 한 종류에 의해 안정화된 산화세륨 입자, 상기의 촉매 조서물의 양을 기준하여 0 내지 10중량%의 배금 및 팔라듐으로 구성된 군중에서 선택된 적어도 하나의 백금계 금속을 입자상에 운반하는 내화성 무기 산화물 입자를 함유하는 촉매 조성물을 제조하고, 상기 촉매 조성물을 수성 슬러리로 변환시키고, 일체식 구조의 벌집형 담체를 상기의 수성 슬러리로 피복 시킨 다음, 수득된 피복된 담체를 건조시킴을 특징으로 하는 배기가스 정화용 촉매의 제조 방법.
