Claims (3)
- 제1 기판과,상기 제1 기판에 대향하여 설치되고, 반사능을 갖는 요철이 형성된 제2 기판과,상기 제1 기판과 제2 기판 사이에 유지된, 플러스 또는 마이너스의 유전율 이방성을 갖는 액정층과,상기 제1 기판의 외측에 배치된 편광판으로 이루어진 반사형 액정 표시 장치로서,상기 제1 기판과 상기 편광판 사이에, 상기 제1 기판의 면에 대하여 수직인 방향으로 마이너스의 굴절율 이방성을 갖는 위상차판을 배치하고,상기 위상차판의 x, y, z 축 방향의 굴절율을 각각 nx, ny, nz, 상기 액정층의 두께를 dlc, 상기 액정층 중에서의 이상광과 정상광과의 굴절율 차를 Δn로 하여, 상기 위상차판의 리터데이션 df·{(nx+ny)/2-nz}의 값을,0.4≤[df·{(nx+ny)/2-nz}]/(dlc·Δn)≤0.7의 범위로 설정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1 기판과,상기 제1 기판에 대향하여 설치되고, 기판 표면에 반사능을 갖는 요철이 형성된 제2 기판과,상기 제1 및 제2 기판 사이에 유지된 마이너스의 유전율 이방성을 갖는 액정층으로 이루어지는 수직 배향 모드의 반사형 액정 표시 장치로서,상기 제1 기판 외측에 편광판을 배치하고, 그의 흡수축을 해당 편광판에 대해서 경사 방향으로 입사되는 광이 상기 요철에 의해 반사될 때의 반사광 강도가 극대로 되는 방위에 평행하게 배치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1 기판과,상기 제1 기판에 대향하도록 설치된 제2 기판과,상기 제1 기판의, 상기 제2 기판에 면하는 측에 설치된 투명 전극과,상기 제2 기판의, 상기 제1 기판에 면하는 측에 설치되고, 개구부를 갖는 반사 전극과,상기 제1 기판과 제2 기판과의 사이에 협지되어, 액정층을 포함하고, 광의 산란능을 산란 상태와 비산란 상태 사이에서 변화시키는 산란층과,상기 제1 기판, 상기 제2 기판 및 상기 산란층에 의해 구성되는 액정 패널의 외측에, 상기 액정 패널을 협지하도록 설치된 한쌍의 편광자를 포함하며,상기 한쌍의 편광자 중 적어도 한쪽은, 원편광자로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사 투과형 액정 표시 장치.
