Abstract

832,603. Fibre-drafting apparatus. RIETER & CIE A.G., J. J. Jan 11, 1957 [Jan. 11, 1956], No. 1008/56. Class 120(2) A resilient bridge-member, Fig. 1, the configuration of which may be changed by adjusting members, on which it is supported, is placed below the run of the lower apron of a double-apron drafting apparatus. The adjusting members 11, 12 may take the form of eccentrics rotatable in bearings 10, 15 adjustably mounted in the supporting frame 8. In another form, Fig. 2, the member 7 may be secured at one end to a flat face of an otherwise cylindrical shaft 19 rotatably mounted in a bearing 18; at the other end it is free to slide along a plane surface 21 of an arm 22. The upper surface of the member 7 may be covered with an anti-friction substance such as tetrafluorethylene.
