847,300. Apron drafting arrangements. SKF KUGELLAGERFABRIKEN G.m.b.H. March 17, 1958 [March 23, 1957], No. 8482/58. Addition to 820,239. Class 120(2). Double apron drafting mechanism as described in the parent Specification has the rollers in the middle pair offset in relation to one another to provide slip drafting nip between the aprons. The middle top roller 11 is offset towards the pair of feed rollers relative to the middle bottom roller 14 and is mounted in a cradle 18 that is preferably for long-staple fibres but long-staple fibres may also be treated using a short cradle.
