Abstract

835,302. Fibre drafting apparatus. CASABLANCAS HIGH DRAFT CO. Ltd. March 28, 1958 [May 6, 1957], No. 14357/57. Classes 120(2) and 120(3) Double apron drafting apparatus has a lower tensor with a convex working surface and a top apron and/or top apron roller that is peripherally recessed over its working area. The lower tensor 6 is adjustably or interchangeably mounted in slots in the walls 8 of the lower cradle. The upper apron roller 3 is provided with a recess 3b and the upper apron 1a may also be recessed the recess either facing the roller recess 3b, as shown in Fig. 3, or facing outwardly. The aprons may be coloured according to the fibre lengths for which they are suitable and the recessed rollers may also be appropriately marked.
