755,348. Sliver guides for combing &c. machines. T.M.M. (RESEARCH), Ltd. March 31, 1955 [April 14, 1954], No. 11007/54. Class 120 (1). A selvedge guide for flat slivers passing through combing machine draw boxes or draw frames consists of a plate-like member comprising a transverse portion A and two depending legs B shaped to present rounded surfaces B<SP>1</SP> to the sliver. The portion A has a rounded surface A<SP>1</SP> also. The guide may rest on the sliver or upon a subjacent member, such as an underclearer and may be moulded or pressed from a sheet of thermosetting plastic material.
