830,991. Combing machine draw boxes; stop motions. T.M.M. (RESEARCH) Ltd. July 18, 1958 [Aug. 29, 1957], No. 27254/57. Class 120(2) A combing machine draw box has the upper drawing rollers and calendar roller mounted on two spaced arms capable of being raised together as a unit by pivoting about a horizontal axis at the rear of the draw-box. Each upper roller 23, 24, 26 has end bearings carried in bearing- blocks 21, 22, 25 adjustable in arms 20. Each bearing block houses roller-loading springs and the arms 20 are held in operative position by hooks 30 movable by levers 31 and cams 32. Ermen type clearers may be applied to upper and lower drawing rollers. If a roller lap forms on the front upper drawing roller an electrical stop motion brings the machine to rest; for this plungers incorporated in the roller bearings may rise to close a switch on a roller arm.
