626,738. Yielding bearing supports. HART, A. S. C. Feb. 6, 1947, No. 3570. [Class 12 (i)] Supporting means for a shaft 14, roller or the like comprises a bracket 11 secured to a rigid support 19 by a single bolt 18 coaxial with the shaft 14, a pad 12 of resilient material being interposed between the bearing unit 13 and the bracket 11. The unit 13 which is readily removed is carried in a bracket 10 and retained therein by a block 15 secured by a pin 16. The supporting means may be used for supporting the whip rollers or whip bars of textile weaving plants, and the roller 14 may be locked against rotation by pins 20.
