Abstract

775,123. Grinding-rollers of textile carding machines. T.M.M. (RESEARCH), Ltd. Aug. 19, 1955 [Aug. 27, 1954], No. 24955/54. Class 60 [Also in Group IX] A textile carding machine with bearing brackets on its frame for supporting a grinding roller adapted to operate on one of the principal carding cylinders is provided with additional brackets for temporarily supporting a small diameter roller for simultaneously grinding by the same grinding roller. The additional brackets 19 are adjustably mounted on arms 18 of brackets 13 on which the grinding roller 14 is mounted. Drive to the 204 small diameter roller 20 is by belts from a pulley 110 on the main cylinder shaft, through the doffer pulley 111 and a temporary pulley 120 on the small diameter roller. The grinding roller 14 is driven directly from a pulley 210. If desired, several additional brackets may be provided to allow more than one small diameter roller to be ground simultaneously.
