Abstract

Feeding-devices for endless-belt conveyers.-In a chain grate stoker, the pivoted supply shoots 18, Fig. 2, are oscillated for the purpose of distributing the fuel evenly over 'the grate by connection to an endless chain, the span of which determines the extent of movement of the shoots. The driven sprocket and the tensioning sprocket at the other end of the chain are separated by a spacing member of selected length, or may be independently mounted at the correct distance apart. A pin 15, Fig. 5, carried by the chain and running against a guide 16 is connected by a rod 21 to the shoots.
