Abstract

216,666. Bennis, A. W. May 5, 1923. Grates. - The frame supporting a chain grate or like stoker 1 is divided into two or more parts 2, 3, each individually supported independently of the other parts by end wheels 4, 5, 6, 7. The two portions 2, 3 of the frame are united by links 8 allowing the parts to be drawn out of the furnace as one unit. The two portions 2, 3 may be positioned at the joint by clamp arms 9 on the one part engaging over a cheek 10 on the other part. In a modification, dowel pins are substituted for the clamp arms.
