Abstract

Flexible fly-wheels, gear-wheels, and the like. - The outer rim 3 of a flywheel, gear-wheel, or the like is connected to a collar 1, pressed, keyed, or otherwise, secured to a crank-shaft 7, by a special spring 8, the ends of which are secured by set-screws and washers 5, 5<a>. Ball or roller bearings x, y are maintained in position by sleeves 6 screwed to flanges 4 on the wheel and by sleeves 11 screwed to the sleeves 6, which may be flanged to engage the wheel at their outer ends.
