Abstract
264,388. Barbaix, C. June 28, 1926. Securing pulleys, collars, eccentrics, gearwheels, &c. on shafts.-Removable warp beams of looms and other articles are secured upon shafts or similar cylindrical bodies by the use of three or more shaft-gripping blocks 10 with slots 7 engaging the edges of recesses 3 on the web 1 of the pulley. The blocks are adjustably tightened upon the shaft &c. by screws engaging tapped holes 6 in the blocks and bearing against abutments 5 in the web, the recesses 3 having enlargements 4 to permit of manipulation of the screws. Flat plates engaging recesses 8 in the tops of the blocks extend into the enlargements 4 to prevent escape of the blocks when they are released from the shaft &c. Preferablv the blocks 10 are curved to a smaller radius than the shaft &c. they engage.
