Abstract

322,154. Large, T. H. July 24, 1929. Universal joints.-In a coupling of the flexible disc type in which the disc is built up of alternate laminations of steel and fabric, the steel rings are cupped or flanged at points of attachment 3 and the clamping-washers 6 are correspondingly shaped. The edges of the cups may have slots 8 and may be on opposite sides of the disc, which may be curved or of sinuous form between the points of attachment.
