Universal joints.-A universal joint of the flexible fabric or rubber disc type adapted to withstand great loads, comprises spiders 1 attached to the coupled shafts. The arms of the spiders are arranged alternately and lie between two flexible discs 5, to which they are attached at their outer ends by the provision of overhanging bosses 3 and bolts 4.
