- 기판과, 상기 기판 상에 설치된 컬러 필터층을 포함하는 컬러 필터 기판의 제조 방법에 있어서, 적어도,(a) 기판 상에, 서모트로픽 액정성을 나타내고, 광에 의해서 중합될 수 있거나, 가교될 수 있거나, 또는 중합 및 가교될 수 있는 화합물을 함유하는 용액을 도포하여, 액정 화합물이 소정의 방향으로 배향된 상태의 박막을 형성하는 공정;(b) 상기 기판을, 컬러 필터층의 각 색의 소정 패턴에 대응하는 영역마다 다른 조사량으로 광 조사를 행하는 공정;(c) 상기 기판을, 상기 액정 화합물의 등방상의 상 전이 온도 이상으로 가열하는 공정; 및(d) 상기 액정 화합물 중 미경화 성분을 경화시키는 공정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터 기판의 제조 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 (a) 기판 상에, 서모트로픽 액정성을 나타내고, 광에 의해서 중합될 수 있거나, 가교될 수 있거나, 또는 중합 및 가교될 수 있는 화합물을 함유하는 용액을 도포하여, 액정 화합물이 소정의 방향으로 배향된 상태의 박막을 형성하는 공정을, 기판 전체에 박막의 두께가 균일하게 되도록 행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터 기판의 제조 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 (d) 상기 액정 화합물 중 미경화 성분을 경화시키는 공정이, 상기 기판을, 상기 액정 화합물의 등방상의 상 전이 온도 이상인 동시에 상기 액정 화합물이 중합, 가교 또는 이들 둘 다를 일으키는 온도 이상인 온도로 가열하는 공정인 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터 기판의 제조 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 (d) 상기 액정 화합물 중 미경화 성분을 경화시키는 공정이, 상기 액정 화합물이 등방상으로 유지되는 온도 이상의 온도로 유지한 채 상기 기판의 전체 면을 노광하는 공정인 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터 기판의 제조 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 (a) 공정을 행하기 전에, 기판 상에 컬러 필터층을 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터 기판의 제조 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 (d) 공정을 행한 후, 기판 상에 컬러 필터층을 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터 기판의 제조 방법.
- 제9항 내지 제14항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 (a) 내지 (d) 공정을 그 순서대로 실시하고, 상기 (b) 공정에서 광 조사에 의해 상기 화합물의 일부를 중합시키거나, 가교시키거나 또는 중합 및 가교시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터 기판의 제조 방법.
- 제15항에 있어서, 상기 (a) 내지 (d) 공정을 실시하여, 대향하는 상기 컬러 필터층의 색 마다 배향 정도가 다른 것만에 기인하여 복굴절률이 상위하도록 설치되는 고체화 액정층을 얻는 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터 기판의 제조 방법.
- 제15항에 있어서, 상기 (b) 공정에서 광 조사에 의해 상기 박막을 구성하는 재료의 일부를 경화시키고, 상기 박막을 구성하는 재료의 나머지를 상기 (d) 공정에서 경화시키며, 상기 (b) 공정에서 경화시킨 상기 일부의 재료와 상기 (d) 공정에서 경화시킨 상기 나머지의 재료는 조성이 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터 기판의 제조 방법.
- 제15항에 있어서, 상기 (a) 내지 (d) 공정을 실시하여, 대향하는 상기 컬러 필터층의 색 마다 배향 정도가 다른 것에 기인하여 복굴절률이 상위하도록 설치되는 고체화 액정층을, 상기 고체화 액정층의 배향 정도가 다른 영역이 다른 두께를 갖도록 얻는 것을 특징으로 하는 컬러 필터 기판의 제조 방법.
