Claims (17)
- 組織と係合するための医療器具であって、
ハウジングであって、内部通路と、該ハウジングの近位端と遠位端との間に延びている長手軸線とを規定しており、前記内部通路に沿って第一のガイド面と第二のガイド面とを規定しているハウジングと、
前記ハウジングに対して摺動可能且つ枢動可能な形態で連結されている第一の顎状部材であって、近位端と遠位端とを有しており、伸長位置と後退位置との間で前記第一のガイド面に沿って長手方向に動くことができるように前記内部通路内に摺動可能な形態で収容されている前記第一の顎状部材と、
前記ハウジングに対して摺動可能且つ枢動可能な形態で連結されている第二の顎状部材であって、近位端と遠位端とを有しており、伸長位置と後退位置との間で前記第二のガイド面に沿って長手方向に動くことができるように前記内部通路内に摺動可能な形態で収容されている前記第二の顎状部材と、
前記第一の顎状部材及び前記第二の顎状部材の各近位端と係合する駆動部材と、を備えており、
前記第一のガイド面には、前記第一の顎状部材が前記伸長位置を越えて長手方向に動くのを制限する遠位端部が設けられ、前記第二のガイド面には、前記第二の顎状部材が前記伸長位置を越えて長手方向に動くのを制限する遠位端部が設けられており、
前記ハウジングは、前記第一及び第二の顎状部材がそれぞれ前記後退位置にあるときには前記第一及び第二の顎状部材の回転を阻止し、前記第一及び第二の顎状部材がそれぞれ前記伸長位置にあるときには前記第一及び第二の顎状部材の回転を許容する構造とされており、
前記第一及び第二の顎状部材の近位端がかみ合い歯を備えており、前記駆動部材が、前記顎状部材の前記かみ合い歯とかみ合うようにされた対応する歯を備えており、
前記駆動部材が長手方向に動くことによって、前記第一及び第二の顎状部材がそれぞれ前記伸長位置と前記後退位置の間で前記第一及び第二のガイドに沿って長手方向に動くようになっており、前記第一及び第二の顎状部材がそれぞれ前記伸長位置にあるときに、前記駆動部材が長手方向に動くことによって、前記第一及び第二の顎状部材が前記ハウジングに対して回転するようにされていることを特徴とする医療器具。 - 前記第一及び第二の顎状部材がそれぞれ前記伸長位置にあるときには、該第一及び第二の顎状部材の各近位端が前記ハウジングの遠位端に隣接して配置されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具。
- 前記第一及び第二の顎状部材の各近位端が、前記ハウジングに摺動可能且つ枢動可能な形態で取り付けられている、ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の医療器具。
- 前記ハウジングが前記内部通路内に肩部を形成しており、前記駆動部材が、前記肩部と係合して前記駆動部材、及び前記第一及び第二の顎状部材の長手方向の動きを制限するように位置決めされた係止タブを備えている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具。
- 前記駆動部材にかかる遠位方向に向う長手方向の力が所定の力に達したときに、前記肩部が、前記係止タブを前記肩部との係合が外れた位置へと移動させて、前記駆動部材及び前記第一及び第二の顎状部材が遠位方向へと長手方向で移動するのを許容するようになされている、ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の医療器具。
- 細長い駆動ワイヤを更に備えており、該細長い駆動ワイヤは、前記駆動部材に当該駆動部材と共に長手方向に動くように選択的に連結され、前記係止タブが前記肩部の遠位側に位置決めされているときには前記係止タブが前記駆動ワイヤと堅固に係合し、前記係止タブが前記肩部の近位側に位置決めされているときには前記駆動ワイヤと堅固に係合していないで前記駆動ワイヤが前記駆動部材から分離できるようになされている、ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の医療器具。
- 前記ハウジングが第三のガイド面を規定しており、該第三のガイド面は、前記ハウジング内での前記駆動部材の長手方向の動きをガイドし、該第三のガイド面は前記肩部を規定している、ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の医療器具。
- 拡大した遠位頭部を有している細長い駆動ワイヤを更に備えており、前記駆動部材が近位方向を向いているソケットを備えており、該駆動部材は、前記ソケットのサイズを調整するように撓む弾性材料によって作られており、前記ソケットは、前記駆動ワイヤの前記拡大した遠位頭部を選択的に受け入れる大きさとされている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具。
- 前記第一及び第二の顎状部材の近位端がピニオンとして形成されており、前記駆動部材がラックとして形成されており、前記駆動部材とラックとが長手方向に動くことによって、前記ピニオン並びに前記第一及び第二の顎状部材がそれらの伸長位置において回転せしめられる、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具。
- 前記駆動部材が、長手方向に延びている中心の棘状突起と、該棘状突起から横断方向に延びている歯とを備えている、ことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の医療器具。
- 前記駆動部材が、前記棘状突起から横断方向に正反対に延びて二組の歯を形成している歯の対を備えており、該二組の歯のうちの一方が前記第一の顎状部材のピニオンと係合せしめられており、該二組の歯のうちの他方が前記第二の顎状部材のピニオンと係合せしめられている、ことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の医療器具。
- 前記ソケットへの入口に係止タブが配置されており、該係止タブが前記入口の大きさを変えるように動く、ことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の医療器具。
- 前記駆動部材が前記ソケットの互いに対向する両側に2つの係止タブを備えており、前記駆動部材のガイド面が、前記2つの係止タブに対応して前記ハウジングの対向する側部に2つの面を備えている、ことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の医療器具。
- 結合ブロックを摺動可能な形態で受け入れる大きさとされている管腔を形成している管状の結合部材と、前記駆動部材に接続されていて前記駆動部材を長手方向に移動させるようにされた駆動ワイヤと、を更に備えており、前記結合ブロックは前記ハウジングの近位端と摩擦係合する構造とされており、前記結合ブロックは前記駆動ワイヤを摺動可能な形態で受け入れる穴を形成しており、前記駆動ワイヤの遠位端は、前記穴よりもサイズが大きい遠位頭部を形成しており、前記遠位頭部は、前記駆動ワイヤが近位方向に後退したときに前記結合ブロックと係合し且つ前記管状の結合部材に対して近位方向に摺動して前記結合ブロックを前記ハウジングとの係合状態から外れされるようになされている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の医療器具。
- 前記第一及び第二の顎状部材がそれぞれ前記伸長位置にあるときに、前記駆動部材が長手方向に動くことによって、前記第一及び第二の顎状部材が前記ハウジングに対して長手方向に動くことなく回転するようにされている、請求項1乃至14の何れか一項に記載の医療器具。
- 医療装置を人以外の動物の体内で作動させる方法であって、
ハウジングであって、内部通路と、該ハウジングの近位端と遠位端との間に延びている長手軸線とを画成しているハウジングと、該ハウジングに摺動可能且つ枢動可能な形態で連結されている第一及び第二の顎状部材と、該第一及び第二の顎状部材と係合されていて該第一及び第二の顎状部材の長手方向の動作及び回転動作をさせる駆動部材と、該駆動部材に選択的に結合されて該駆動部材と一緒に長手方向に動くようになされている細長い駆動ワイヤとを備えている、医療装置を準備するステップと、
前記駆動ワイヤを遠位方向に進めて前記第一及び第二の顎状部材を前記ハウジングに対して遠位方向に並進させるステップと、
前記駆動ワイヤを遠位方向に進めて前記第一及び第二の顎状部材を相対的に離れる方向に回転させて開放位置とするステップと、
前記駆動ワイヤを近位方向に後退させて前記第一及び第二の顎状部材を相対的に近づく方向に回転させて閉止位置とするステップと、
前記駆動ワイヤを近位方向に後退させて前記第一及び第二の顎状部材を前記ハウジングに対して近位方向に並進させるステップと、
前記駆動ワイヤを前記駆動部材から分離して、前記第一及び第二の顎状部材を前記ハウジングに連結されている状態で前記閉止位置のままとするステップと、を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記駆動ワイヤを近位方向へ後退させて前記第一及び第二の顎状部材を近位方向に並進させる前記ステップが、前記駆動部材の遠位方向の動きを制限して前記顎状部材を前記閉止位置に維持するステップを含んでいる、ことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の方法。
