Abstract
523,062. Lenses. TAYLOR, TAYLOR, & HOBSON, Ltd., and WARMISHAM, A, Dec. 23, 1938, No. 37410. Drawings to Specification. [Class 97 (i)] In a photographic objective consisting of a simple dispersive component between two simple collective components, the glass of each component has a mean refractive index higher than 1.75 and preferably higher than 1.8 ; the arithmetical sum of the radii of the front surface of the front component and of the rear surface of the rear component may be greater than the equivalent focal length of the objective and less than 1.33 times it, and the axial length of the objective may lie between 55 per cent. and 85 per cent. of the equivalent focal length. The glasses may be as described in Specification 462,304, [Group XXIII]. Numerical data for three examples are included in the Specification.
