Abstract
536,556. Lenses. KODAK, Ltd. June 20, 1940, No. 10617. Convention date, Oct. 28, 1939. Drawings to Specification. [Class 97 (i)] The front component of a telephoto objective is positive and consists of at least two elements ; the rear component is negative, has both outer surfaces concave to the front, and of radii between 0.1 and 0.5 times F, and has a cemented surface convex to the front and of radius between 0.25 times F and F. Of the glass following the cemented surface, the refractive index exceeds that of the glass preceding that surface by at least 0.07, and the dispersive index may be less by 15 or less. The front component may consist of a bi-convex element cemented to the front of a negative element having a refractive index at least 0.1 greater than that of the bi-convex element. The spacing of the components may be between “ F and ¥ F. Desirable closer limits and complete particulars of two examples are set out in the Specification.
