Abstract
254,766. French, G. F., French, R., and Pinch, W. H. March 4, 1925. Brackets, clip; curtains, suspending.-Brackets for supporting bendable curtain rails of inverted T or similar section are adapted to slidably grip the rail, independent means being provided to secure the bracket to the wall &c. In the construction shown in Fig. 1 a bracket is formed by bending a strip of metal to form attaching lugs e and jaws d between which the rail is held by a set-screw h, the rail being preferably roughened or provided with a groove g<1>. In a modification the screw h does not engage the rail but merely serves to tighten the jaws thereon. In a further form shown in Fig. 7 the bracket comprises a part u with a tapered screw at one end to engage the wall &c. and a screwed part at the other end carrying a clip u<1> and a nut u<2>. In the construction shown in Fig. 8 the bracket is in the form of a casting or stamping with a small right-angled projection w<1>, a clip w<2> being attached to either the projection w<1> or the horizontal part w of the bracket, according to whether the bracket is secured to a wall or a ceiling.
