Abstract
433,085. Clip brackets. TIERNEY, J, P., 376, High Street, St. Kilda, Victoria, Australia. June 11, 1934, No. 17258. [Class 52 (v)] [See also Group XXV] A bracket or clip for supporting a pipe or the like comprises a stem 2 which may be hollow and is enlarged at one end to form a base 3 and is provided at the other end with two quarter circular jaws 6 which carry the pipe &c. 7. The stem is slotted at 4, the slot allowing the jaws 6 to spring slightly apart when the pipe &c. 7 is pushed in. A clamping screw 8 may be provided to clamp the jaws together to hold the pipe 7 firmly. The bracket may have a hole 11<b> in its base to permit passage of a screw 12 by means of which it is secured to a plug let into the wall &c., or to a mounting member 13. The hole 11<b> may be tapped so that the bracket can be screwed onto a stud projecting from a wall &c. The jaws 6 have their surfaces 6<e> curved both longitudinally and laterally so that they merge gradually into the surface of the supported pipe and permit easy cleaning of bracket and pipe.
