Abstract
520,936. Lamp brackets. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and DURRANT, D. W. Oct. 3, 1938, No. 28673. [Class 52 (v)] An electric lamp holder 10 is mounted on a preferably tubular arm 5 adjustably clamped to a bar 1 suspended from a picture rail 12 by a hooked end and spaced from the wall at its lower end by an ornamental buffer 4, which may be of synthetic plastic material. A pronged metal plate 2 is mounted inside the hook of the bar. The end of the tubular arm may be made solid and bifurcated to grip the edges of the bar 1 under the action of the clamping screw 9. The arm may be detached and replaced with the lamp in an inverted position. The suspension member may be formed by doubling a single round rod on itself, the arm being secured thereto by a clamping plate shaped to grip the two limbs. The arm may have knuckle joints in its length.
