Abstract

104,044. Terry, A. V. March 13, 1916. Rifles, carrying.-A clip or holder for mounting a rifle upon a cycle comprises relatively adjustable parts, a cone clutch between these parts, and means for bringing the conical clutch members into intimate engagement. The clutch comprising the members b, c is fitted between the clip a for engagement with the cycle frame and the clip or socket d for receiving the rifle butt, the clutch members being brought into close engagement, after adjustment, by tightening the wing-nut f of the bolt e. According to the Provisional Specification, the clip to embrace the D or other shaped stay of the cycle frame may comprise two main limbs, one of which may be of double thickness nf metal formed by folding the end of the sheetmetal strip inwardly.
