Abstract
300,939. Harrison, S. C. Aug. 20, 1927. Curtains, suspending; clip brackets, securing.-A bracket for supporting a curtain rail is formed so that on the fixing screw being tightened, the bracket is twisted or otherwise moved so that the rail is gripped, the screw passing only through that portion of the bracket which abuts the surface to which the bracket is fixed. In the construction shown, the beaded top edge of a rail a is slidably arranged in slots b in a pair of arms c connected by a rear member d and adapted to be secured by a wall &c. by a screw f. The plane of the part d is inclined to the plane containing the slots b so that on tightening the screw f, the bracket is twisted relative to the rail. In a modification, the part d of the bracket may be slightly curved or distorted so that on tightening the fixing screw f, the arms c tend to separate or come together so that the rail is gripped.
