Resumo Este artigo refere-se a um estudo de auditoria de imagem na mídia da Coca-Cola efetuado no mês de agosto de 2016. O objetivo geral foi analisar a imagem da empresa na mídia brasileira na Internet, a partir do levantamento e análise do clipping online. Entre os resultados, verificou-se 28 matérias (14 positivas, 7 negativas e 7 neutras) divulgadas pelos portais ou sites de notícias brasileiros. Conclui-se que ações de apoio a eventos e comunidades por meio de patrocínio ou doação de produtos devem ser mais divulgadas na imprensa. Também é necessário manter um canal efetivo na Internet com espaço específico para questões trabalhistas, no qual os funcionários possam ter liberdade para manter o contato direto com a empresa.

Este trabalho tem o objetivo de pesquisar e destacar a importância do clipping, atividade própria da assessoria de imprensa, enquanto instrumento de comunicação e gestão das organizações. Para isso, serão utizadas duas metodologias, pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, quando serão verificados livros, artigos, manuais e textos disponíveis na internet. Com a mídia cada vez mais presente na sociedade contemporânea, as instituições precisam se adaptar à ela. Assim, a atividade de avaliação e mensuração de presença midiática. Após todo o levantamento, é percebido, entre outras funções, que o clipping corresponde a uma ação estratégica do serviço do assessor, que não deve ser desvalorizado.

A despeito de suas origens independentes, a Arquivística e a Diplomática vêm estreitando seus laços, sobretudo no que tange ao estudo da tipologia documental e ao estabelecimento de padrões de produção documental. Neste trabalho, discutimos a viabilidade da aplicação do método diplomático ao estudo dos tipos documentais característicos da atividade jornalística, amplamente representados em arquivos pessoais pelos recortes de jornal. Em perspectiva multidisciplinar, a questão é abordada com vistas a contribuir para o debate em torno da ampliação da análise diplomática em direção a documentos menos convencionais.

Despite their independent roots, Archival Science and Diplomatics have been straightening their bonds, especially when it comes to the study of documentary typology and the standardization of records production. In this paper, feasibility of applying the diplomatic method is discussed in the light of the study of the different documentary forms related to journalism, broadly represented in personal archives by newspapers clipping. The question is here addressed in a multidisciplinary approach, looking for contributing to the debate on the expansion of diplomatic analysis towards less conventional documents.

Next generation wireless communication technology long term evolution (LTE) has implemented orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technique as a strong candidate for radio access systems. It has several attributes such as providing robustness to multipath fading & impulse noise, eliminating intersymbol interference (ISI), inter carrier interference (ICI) & the need for equalizers. The major challenging issue of OFDM technique is the high peak to average power ratio (PAPR) which is defined as the ratio of the peak power to the average power of the OFDM signal. A trade-off is necessary for reducing PAPR with increasing bit error rate (BER), computational complexity or data rate loss etc. In this paper, a moderately modified design of amplitude clipping & filtering operation (ACF) is proposed and implemented which shows the significant improvement in case of PAPR reduction for both quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) & quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) while increasing slight BER match up to to an existing method. With the advent of digitization and growing abundance of graphic and image processing tools, use cases for clipping using circular windows have grown considerably. This paper presents an efficient clipping algorithm for line segments using geometrical features of circle and vector calculus. Building upon the research with rectangular windows, this method is proposed with the belief that computations are more expensive (heavy) than other computations. Execution time can be drastically improved if we replace expensive computations with cheaper computations. The cheaper computations can be computed even more efficiently using parallelization thus improving time complexity.

Romanian has features which distinguish it from other Romance languages. These can be attributed to its geographical location on the periphery of the Romance area, and to its having evolved independently and through contact with different languages. Until the early decades of the 19th century, loans and calques based on Slav(on)ic, Hungarian, Turkish, and Greek models influenced Romanian in several respects, including its word-formation patterns. Subsequent enrichment by means of numerous loans and calques from French, Italian, and (Neo-)Latin has been an important force in the re-Romanization and modernization of Romanian. In recent decades English word-formation models have also exercised a strong influence. The wide range of etymological sources and their historical stratification have meant that Romanian has a much richer inventory of affixes and allomorphs than other Romance languages. The possibility of combining bases and affixes entering Romanian from different sources at different periods and related to different registers has been exploited to create nonce formations with ironic connotations and greater expressivity. Of all Romance languages, Romanian is certainly the most interesting for the study of borrowing of affixes and of word-formation patterns. The most important characteristics distinguishing Romanian from other Romance languages are: the limited productivity of the V-N compounding pattern; the formation of compound numerals; the high number of prefixes, suffixes, and their allomorphs; the presence of a complex system of morphophonological alternations in suffixation; the many gender-marking suffixes; and the systematic and prevalent recourse tore suffixation and to conversion of the supine to form action nouns, and to adjective conversion to form adverbs.

Partitioning soil CO2 efflux into autotrophic (RA) and heterotrophic (RH) components is crucial for understanding their differential responses to climate change. We conducted a long-term experiment (2000–2005) to investigate effects of warming 2°C and yearly clipping on soil CO2 efflux and its components (i.e. RA and RH) in a tallgrass prairie ecosystem. Interannual variability of these fluxes was also examined. Deep collars (70 cm) were inserted into soil to measure RH. RA was quantified as the difference between soil CO2 efflux and RH. Warming treatment significantly stimulated soil CO2 efflux and its components (i.e. RA and RH) in most years. In contrast, yearly clipping significantly reduced soil CO2 efflux only in the last 2 years, although it decreased RH in every year of the study. Temperature sensitivity (i.e. apparent Q10 values) of soil CO2 efflux was slightly lower under warming (P>0.05) and reduced considerably by clipping (P<0.05) compared with that in the control. On average over the 4 years, RH accounted for approximately 65% of soil CO2 efflux with a range from 58% to 73% in the four treatments. Over seasons, the contribution of RH to soil CO2 efflux reached a maximum in winter (∼90%) and a minimum in summer (∼35%). Annual soil CO2 efflux did not vary substantially among years as precipitation did. The interannual variability of soil CO2 efflux may be mainly caused by precipitation distribution and summer severe drought. Our results suggest that the effects of warming and yearly clipping on soil CO2 efflux and its components did not result in significant changes in RH or RA contribution, and rainfall timing may be more important in determining interannual variability of soil CO2 efflux than the amount of annual precipitation.

Saccular aneurysms arising from the dorsal wall of the internal carotid artery are extremely rare. It is still a surgical challenge to achieve safe and successful clipping due to their unusual projection and fragile nature. A 32 years old gentleman presented with severe headache and
high blood pressure. CT head showed SAH in basal cistern. CT angiogram demonstrated left dorsal ICA aneurysm rupture. The aneurysm was successfully clipped parallel to ICA without intraoperative and postoperative rupture. Postoperatively, he has no neurological deficits and leading his normal life.

Algorithms for line and line segment clipping are well known algorithms especially in the field of computer graphics. They are formulated for the Eu-clidean space representation. However, computer graphics uses the projective extension of the Euclidean space and homogeneous coordinates for representation geometric transformations with points in the 2 or 3 space. The projection operation from the 3 to the 2 space leads to the necessity to convert coordinates to the Euclidean space if the clipping operation is to be used. In this contribution, an optimized simple algorithm for line and line segment clipping in the 2 space, which works directly with homogeneous representation and not requiring the conversion to the Euclidean space, is described. It is based on Geometric Algebra (GA) formulation for projective representation. The proposed algorithm is simple, efficient and easy to implement. The algorithm can be efficiently modified for the SSE4 instruction use or the GPU application, too.

Die Kurzwortbildung (auch Wortkürzung) umfasst die Analyse der verschiedenen Kürzungsverfahren und der daraus resultierenden „Kurzwörter“ (KW). Ausgehend von den einschlägigen Arbeiten, unter anderen den Monografien von Kobler-Trill (1994) und Steinhauer (2000), beschäftigt sich die vorliegende Arbeit mit den aktuellen Tendenzen im Bereich der Kurzwortbildung. Das Augenmerk wird hier insbesondere auf Kurzwörter gelegt, die sowohl in der Umgangssprache als auch in verschiedenen Soziolekten – z.B. Jugend-, Studenten- und Soldatensprache – gebildet werden. Meine auf der Prototypentheorie basierende Definition des KW ermöglicht es, die Vielfalt der Erscheinungen und die Veränderungen im Bereich der Kurzwortbildung besser zu erfassen. Den Kurzwörtern bzw. -formen in der Chatkommunikation wird eine besondere Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt, da sie den Einfluss der neuen Technologien auf die Kürzung widerspiegeln.

Shortening in modern German

Our study deals with lexical shortening (in German: "Kurzwortbildung"), a concept which covers the analysis of several shortening processes and of their outcomes, i.e. "short words" (in German: "Kurzwörter"; KW). After reviewing various studies in this field, among them the monographs of Kobler-Trill (1994) and Steinhauer (2000), we turn to the analysis of more recent phenomena of lexical shortening. The emphasis is placed on types of words formed orally in colloquial speech or in sociolects (youth and student languages, military jargon, etc.). Our prototypical approach to the notion of "Kurzwort" allows us to stress the diversity of such phenomena and shifts in the field of lexical shortening. We shall especially focus on changes witnessed in the chatting style as far as they reflect the influences of new technologies affecting abbreviations.

To evaluate the results of our program of clipping the thoracic sympathetic nervous system (TSNS) for the treatment of facial flush and/or hyperhidrosis (HH), and to compare the methodology-results of the program development phase (A: January 2007-April 2009) and its consolidation phase (B: May 2009-March 2010). The program included a total of 44 patients (88 procedures) subjected to videothoracoscopy and clipping of the TSNS in a one day surgery unit. Data were collected and analysed retrospectively, and a descriptive and comparative statistical analysis was performed between the two periods (A and B). The overall morbidity was 5 cases (11.3%). The post-surgical occurrence rate of HH was 4.54% (2 cases), and the incidence of compensatory sweating was 65.9% (minimal in 26 of the 29 cases).
