Description
本發明關於用以將管元件端對端地連結的接頭,此等接頭具有藉由一壓縮環固持在一起的多個區段。
用於將管元件端對端地連結在一起的機械式接頭包括可互連區段,其可定位成周向地圍繞同軸對準管元件之末端部分。本說明書中"管元件"一辭的使用係指任何管狀物品或是具有一管狀樣式的組件。管元件包含管料,管配件譬如彎頭、帽蓋和T形管以及流體控制組件譬如閥、異徑接頭、濾清器、限流器、壓力調節器及類似物。
每一機械式接頭區段包括一具有拱形表面的殼體,此等拱形表面從殼體徑向向內地突出並且接合於平口管元件或是繞每一待連結管元件延伸的周向溝槽。拱形表面與管元件之間的接合對接合處提供機械式約束並且確保管元件即使是在高內部壓力及/或外力的條件下依然保持連結。殼體定義一環形通道收納一密封構件、通常是一彈性體環,其接合於每一管元件之末端並且與此等區段合作以提供一流體密封效果。此等區段具有連接構件,其通常呈從殼體往外突出之凸耳(lug)的樣式。此等凸耳適於接收可調整繫緊以將該等區段互朝對方拉近的繫結件,譬如螺母和螺栓。
為確保接頭與管元件之間有良好配合,習知接頭上的拱形表面會有一與其希望接合之管元件之外表面之曲率半徑大致匹配的曲率半徑。就用於有槽管元件的接頭來說,拱形表面的曲率半徑小於在溝槽外側之管元件外表面的曲率半徑,使得拱形表面貼切地裝入並接合於此等溝槽。
習知接頭之此種接頭拱形表面與管元件外表面的幾何關係會在使用機械式接頭時得到一冗長耗時的安裝程序。一般而言,技工收到多個區段被螺栓接在一起且環封件被困在區段之通道內的接頭。技工首先解除螺栓以分解該接頭,移除環封件,潤滑該接頭(未經預潤滑的情況)且將其放在待連結之管元件的末端周圍。環封件之安裝作業要求其經過潤滑及拉伸以配合管元件,這常常是一項既困難又麻煩的工作,因為環封件通常是剛硬的,而且潤滑作用使得封件難以被人操縱。在環封件於兩個管元件上就定位之後,將該等區段一次一個地跨放在管元件的末端上且用這些區段抵緊環封件將其困住。在安放過程中,使這些區段接合於封件,在有溝槽的情況中使拱形表面與溝槽對準、否則使拱形表面與施作在管元件外表面上之對準記號對準,且將螺栓插穿過凸耳,將螺母旋到螺栓上並且旋緊、使接頭區段互朝對方拉近、壓縮該封件並使拱形表面接合在溝槽內。
如以上敘述明顯表示,依據習知技藝之機械式管接頭的安裝作業要求技工處理通常至少七個的獨立零件(在接頭具有二以上之區段時會有更多零件),且必須徹底分解及重新組裝該接頭。如果技工可以不用先徹底分解機械式管接頭然後將其一塊一塊地重新組裝就能安裝該機械式管接頭,則會省下大量的時間、心力和花費。
本發明關於一種管接頭,其可被定位為跨坐於一對管元件之相面對末端部分以將該等管元件固定在一起成端對端關係。該管接頭包括一可變形密封構件,其有一大小設定為用來接收該等管元件的內徑及一外表面。複數個區段被支撐在該密封構件之外表面上。該等區段被定位為周向地環繞該密封構件且相互間成一預定分隔關係。每一區段具有位在該密封構件之對向側上的一對拱形表面。該等拱形表面可與該等管元件接合以將該等管元件固持在端對端關係。一壓縮環沿該等區段之一外周延伸。該等區段被困在該環與該密封構件之間。一拉緊構件被安裝在該環上。該拉緊構件可被調整繫緊以強迫該等區段大致徑向向內地緊抵該密封構件。該拉緊構件之繫緊作用使該等拱形表面移動至與該等管元件接合。
較佳來說,該等區段以大致相同的間距相互分隔。為了維持該等區段之間隔,一或多個凸出部被安裝在該環或是該等區段上。該等凸出部限制該環與該等區段之間的相對運動且用來使該等區段相對於該環保持在一預定位置。較佳來說,該等凸出部被附接至該等區段且大致徑向向外地延伸。該環具有成分隔關係用於接收該等凸出部的穿透孔或凹口。
該等區段具有對向配置的端面,其在該拉緊構件被繫緊時相互接合藉以強迫該等區段向內緊抵該密封構件。在一實施例中,該等端面被定向為大致平行於該等管元件之一縱向軸線。該等端面可因該拉緊構件之繫緊作用而被帶到相互接合。
在另一實施例中,該等區段具有相對於該等管元件之一縱向軸線呈斜角取向的對向配置端面。每一區段上之每一端面大致平行於一相鄰區段上之一相鄰端面。每一區段上之端面具有相互相反的斜率。該等端面因該拉緊構件之繫緊作用而被帶到相互接合,且該等端面之斜角取向導致相鄰區段以相反方向沿該等管元件依長度向移動。
在另一實施例中,該等區段具有相對於該等管元件之一縱向軸線呈斜角取向的對向配置端面。每一區段上之每一端面大致平行於一相鄰區段上之一相鄰端面。每一區段上之端面具有大致相同的斜率。該等端面因該拉緊構件之繫緊作用而被帶到相互接合,且該等端面之斜角取向導致相鄰區段以沿著大致垂直於該等管元件之軸線的區段半徑之相應軸線為中心相對於對方以相反方向旋轉。
圖1示出一依據本發明用於將管元件固定在一起成端對端關係的壓縮環管接頭10。接頭10包括一可變形密封構件12,較佳呈一彈性體材料環的樣式。密封構件12接合於該等管元件以確保一流體密封接合處,詳見下文。密封構件12有一大小設定為用來接收管元件的內徑14以及一外表面16。外表面16支撐複數個區段18。區段18較佳由金屬構成且可為鑄造的、成型的、模鍛的或是機械加工的。此等區段被支撐在密封構件12之外表面16上且被定位為相互間呈預定分隔關係以周向環繞該外表面。一壓縮環20沿區段18之外周延伸。環20最好是一可撓金屬束帶(strap)且具有藉由安裝在其上之一拉緊構件26相互連接的對向末端22和24。拉緊構件26較佳包括一被安裝在一環末端22上的有螺紋螺栓28及一被安裝在另一環末端24上的有螺紋本體30。螺栓28是可旋轉的,而且接合於有螺紋本體30。該螺栓之繫緊作用將環末端22和24互朝對方拉近,對該環施加張力且強迫區段18徑向向內地緊抵密封構件12。
圖1A示出一替代接頭實施例11,其中壓縮環20被劃分成複數個環部分,在本實例中為兩個部分20a和20b。每一環部分分別具有對向末端22a和24a及22b和24b,其被定位為相互鄰近以便將該等環部分排列為環繞著區段18呈端對端關係。處於相面對關係的末端22a和24b及22b和24a藉由相應拉緊構件26a(被安裝在22a與24b之間)及26b(被安裝在22b與24a之間)連結。每一拉緊構件較佳亦包括一被安裝在一環部分之一端(22a和22b)上的螺栓28,該螺栓接合於一被安裝在相鄰末端部分(24a、24b)上的有螺紋本體30。拉緊構件之繫緊作用對環部分施加張力且強迫區段18徑向向內地緊抵密封構件12。具有二個或更多環部分及適當數量之拉緊構件的壓縮環接頭有利於與較大直徑的管一起使用,藉以將張力分佈於多個拉緊構件並且將所需螺栓之大小限制在合理實用的長度和直徑。
再次參照圖1,最好將區段18維持為環繞著封件以大致相等間距成分隔關係。此確保不會有足以允許密封構件在組裝期間被夾住或是在壓力下擠出的大間隙形成於區段之間。為此之故,每一區段18有一徑向向外延伸且接合於環20之一孔34的凸出部32。此等孔在環內的位置以及凸出部在區段上的位置被協調成致使該等孔接收該等凸出部且使區段維持在期望相對間隔,凸出部與環之間的接合限制環與區段之間的相對運動。為了允許有些許游隙許可區段18相對於密封構件12周向移位,孔34可為過大孔,或者如圖6所示,奇可包括沿環20依長度向延伸的槽孔36。另一選擇,凸出部32可為相對可撓的或是可變形的,藉以允許該等區段在拉緊構件被繫緊時發生相對位移。變形作用可為彈性的、塑性的、或是二者之一組合。
如圖4所示,在接頭之一替代實施例中,區段18可有一被收納在環20之一凹口38內的凸出部32。凹口38可為加長的以允許該等區段有些許游隙。另一選擇,如圖5所示,凸出物32可被安裝在環20上,且接收該凸出物之凹口38被定位在區段18內。
如圖2所示,區段18之每一者具有分別被定位在密封構件12之對向側上的一對拱形表面40和42。在拉緊構件被繫緊時,拱形表面40和42分別接合於管元件48和50之外表面44和46。較佳來說,拱形表面40和42大致徑向向內地突出且接合於被形成在外表面44和46內的相應溝槽52和54。拱形表面與溝槽之間的接合對接合處提供機械式約束,且確保管元件即使是在高內部壓力及/或外力下保持連結。依據本發明之接頭10亦可用於平口管元件(詳見下文)以及用於具有緊鄰於末端之肩部或是具有擴口或擴大末端的管元件。
拱形表面40和42被定位在由一背壁62連接之區段側壁56和60的末端,且共同形成一接收密封構件12的通道64。附加側壁66和68亦可徑向向外延伸以形成一接收環20的凹槽70。凹槽70藉由限制區段18相對於該環之軸向和旋轉運動而使該環在拉緊構件26被繫緊期間保持與區段18正確接合。
以下參照圖1、2及2A說明有環接頭之安裝作業。如圖1和2所示,接頭10的大小被設定為使區段18以直徑向相互分隔,致使管元件48和50可被插入該等區段之間成端對端關係。管元件被密封構件12接收,此密封構件可具有接合於管元件外表面44和46且利用管元件內之內部壓力達成一更緊密密封效果的唇狀部72。一旦使二個管元件在接頭10內接合,在有溝槽52和54的情況中,將該等溝槽對準拱形表面40和42且將拉緊構件26繫緊。如圖2A所示,此強迫每一區段上之拱形表面與管元件之外表面44和46達成接合,在本實例中是接合於溝槽52和54內。
如圖1所示,區段18具有對向配置的端面74和76。端面74和76被定向為大致平行於待連結之管元件之縱向軸線78。在拉緊構件26被繫緊時,相鄰區段上的端面會互朝對方移動,且該等區段的大小可被設定為致使該等端面相互接觸以在拱形表面40和42接合於溝槽52和54時關閉密封構件12的整個外表面16。
雖說可與有槽管接合之突出拱形表面是一較佳實施例,依據本發明之接頭亦可被用來連結平口管元件。此一實施例80示於圖2B,其中區段18具有可包括一或多個齒82和84的拱形表面40和42。在有這些齒的情況中,該等齒大致面對徑向內部以在接頭之拉緊構件被繫緊且區段被迫與管元件接合時抓住平口管元件之外表面並且對接合處提供機械式約束。該等齒可為如齒82所示沿區段大致連續地延伸,或者其可為一單齒84或是相互分隔的複數個單齒84。
在一替代接頭實施例79中,如圖3和3A所示,區段18具有相對於管元件縱向軸線78成斜角取向的對向端面86和88。這種斜角取向在圖7和7A中最佳顯示。圖7示出取自接頭79之單個區段18的軸向視圖,圖中可見端面86和88。圖7A示出往內朝軸線78觀看時會看到的圖7之區段18,使二個端面86和88之相對取向變得可見並且藉此強調端面與軸線78之間的斜角關係。要注意到每一區段上的端面具有相反斜率。此外,如圖3和3A所示,相鄰區段18上之端面86和88大致相互平行。在本實施例中,區段的大小被設定為致使每一區段上的端面86在拉緊構件被繫緊後且當拱形表面開始接合於待連結管元件之外表面時接合於每一相鄰區段上的端面88。端面之斜角取向致使其間的強迫接觸(因拉緊構件之繫緊作用所致)造成相鄰區段如圖3A所示相互以相反方向沿管元件依長度向移動。區段18之相對移位在該接頭被用於有槽管時是有利的,因為區段之長度向運動強迫拱形表面與溝槽之肩部達成接合而且加大接合處相關於其所有軸線的剛度。
在另一接頭實施例90中,如圖8和8A所示,區段18具有相對於管元件之縱向軸線78成斜角取向的端面92和94。這種斜角取向在圖9和9A中最佳顯示。圖9示出取自接頭90之單個區段18的軸向視圖,圖中可看到端面92,但端面94被隱藏。圖9A示出往內朝軸線78觀看時會看到的圖9之區段18,使二個端面92和94之相對取向變得可見並且藉此強調端面與軸線78之間的斜角關係。要注意到每一區段上的端面具有大致相同的斜率。此外,如圖8和8A所示,相鄰區段18上的端面92和94大致相互平行。在本實施例中,區段的大小被設定為致使每一區段上的端面92在拉緊構件被繫緊後且當拱形表面開始接合於待連結管元件之外表面時接合於每一相鄰區段上的端面94。端面之斜角取向致使其間的強迫接觸(因拉緊構件之繫緊作用所致)造成相鄰區段如圖8A所示以從軸線78往外延伸之相應半徑96和98為中心相互以相反方向旋轉。區段18之相對旋轉再次在該接頭被用於有槽管時是有利的,因為區段之旋轉運動強迫拱形表面與溝槽之肩部達成接合而且加大接合處相關於其所有軸線的剛度。
依據本發明具有壓縮環之管接頭提供快速確實的安裝,創造出一管接合處而免除部分或完全拆解然後重新組裝接頭以及處理個別零件的需求。

Claims (36)
- 一種管接頭,其可被定位為跨置於一對管元件之相面對末端部分以將該等管元件固定在一起成端對端關係,該管接頭包括:一可變形密封構件,其有一大小設定為用來接收該等管元件的內徑以及一外表面;被支撐在該密封構件之該外表面上的複數個區段,該等區段被定位為周向地環繞該密封構件且以直徑向相互分隔,每一該區段具有位在該密封構件之對向側上的一對拱形表面;一環繞該等區段之一外周延伸的壓縮環,該壓縮環具有呈相面對關係的對向末端,該等區段被陷留在該壓縮環與該密封構件之間;及一拉緊構件,被安裝在該壓縮環上介於該等對向末端之間,使得該區段被該壓縮環固持在一起,且在該拉緊構件被繫緊前,該管元件成端對端關可插入該等區段之間,且當該拉緊構件被可調整地繫緊時,可以對該壓縮環施加張力並且強迫該等區段大致徑向向內地緊抵該密封構件,並使該等拱形表面移動至與該等管元件接合。
- 如請求項1之管接頭,其中該等區段被以大致相同的間距相互分隔。
- 如請求項1之管接頭,進一步包括一在該壓縮環與該等區段之一區段間延伸的凸出部,該凸出部與該壓縮環及該一區段的接合作用限制該環與該一區段之間的相對運動 且將該區段相對於該壓縮環大致保持在一預定位置。
- 如請求項3之管接頭,其中該凸出部被附接至該一區段且由此大致徑向向外地延伸,該壓縮環有一用於接收該凸出部的穿透孔。
- 如請求項4之管接頭,其中該孔包括一槽孔。
- 如請求項3之管接頭,其中該凸出部被附接至該一區段且由此大致徑向向外地延伸,該壓縮環在其內有一用於接收該凸出部的凹口。
- 如請求項6之管接頭,其中該凹口是長條形的且沿該壓縮環於長度方向上延伸。
- 如請求項3之管接頭,其中該凸出部被附接至該環且由此大致徑向向內地延伸,該一區段在其內有一用於接收該凸出部的凹口。
- 如請求項3之管接頭,其中該凸出部是可撓的。
- 如請求項3之管接頭,其中該凸出部是可彈性變形的。
- 如請求項3之管接頭,其中該凸出部是可塑性變形的。
- 如請求項1之管接頭,其中該等拱形表面從該等區段大致徑向向內地突出。
- 如請求項1之管接頭,其中該等區段之一區段上的該等拱形表面之一拱形表面包括至少一從該一區段大致徑向向內突出的齒。
- 如請求項13之管接頭,其中該齒沿該區段大致連續地於長度方向上延伸。
- 如請求項1之管接頭,其中該等區段之一區段上的該等拱 形表面之一拱形表面包括被定位為沿該一區段於長度方向上呈分隔關係的複數個齒。
- 如請求項1之管接頭,其中該等區段之一區段包括從該外周往外延伸的第一和第二側壁,該等側壁成分隔關係且界定一凹槽,該凹槽的大小被設定為用來接收該壓縮環。
- 如請求項1之管接頭,其中該等區段具有被定向為大致平行於該等管元件之一縱向軸線的對向配置端面,該等端面因該拉緊構件之繫緊作用而被互朝對方拉近。
- 如請求項1之管接頭,其中該等區段具有被定向為相對於該等管元件之一縱向軸線傾斜的對向配置端面,就每一該區段來說,在其一端之該端面具有一相反於在其一反端之該端面的斜率,每一該區段上之每一該端面大致平行於該等區段之一相鄰區段上的一相鄰端面,該等端面因該拉緊構件之繫緊作用而被帶到相互接合,該等端面之該斜角取向導致相互鄰近的該等區段沿該等管元件於長度方向上以相反方向移動。
- 如請求項1之管接頭,其中該等區段具有被定向為相對於該等管元件之一縱向軸線傾斜的對向配置端面,就每一該區段來說,在其一端之該端面具有與在其一反端之該端面大致相同的斜率,每一該區段上之每一該端面大致平行於該等區段之一相鄰區段上的一相鄰端面,該等端面因該拉緊構件之繫緊作用而被帶到相互接合,該等端面之該斜角取向導致相互鄰近的該等區段以大致垂直於該等管元件之該縱向軸線延伸的對應軸線為中心以相反 方向旋轉。
- 如請求項1之管接頭,其中該拉緊構件包括一被可旋轉地安裝在該壓縮環之一第一端上的有螺紋螺栓及一被安裝在該壓縮環之一第二端上的有螺紋本體,該第一和第二端成相面對關係,該螺栓接合於該有螺紋本體,該螺栓之繫緊作用將該壓縮環之該第一和第二端互朝對方拉近且將該等區段大致徑向向內地移動以使該等拱形表面與該等管元件接合。
- 一種管接頭,其可被定位為跨置於一對管元件之相面對末端部分以將該等管元件固定在一起成端對端關係,該管接頭包括:一可變形密封構件,其有一大小設定為用來接收該等管元件的內徑以及一外表面;被支撐在該密封構件之該外表面上的複數個區段,該等區段被定位為周向地環繞該密封構件且以直徑向相互分隔,每一該區段具有位在該密封構件之對向側上的一對拱形表面;一沿該等區段之一外周延伸的壓縮環,該等區段被陷留在該壓縮環與該密封構件之間;被安裝在該等區段之每一者上且由此往外延伸的凸出部,該壓縮環在其內具有用於接收該等凸出部的複數個孔,該等凸出部與該等孔之接合作用限制該等區段與該壓縮環之間的相對運動且使該等區段大致維持在該預定分隔關係;及 一拉緊構件,被安裝在該壓縮環上,使得該區段被該壓縮環固持在一起,且在該拉緊構件被調整繫緊前,該管元件成端對端關可插入該等區段之間,,且當該拉緊構件被可調整地繫緊時,可以強迫該等區段大致徑向向內地緊抵該密封構件,並使該等拱形表面移動至與該等管元件接合。
- 如請求項21之管接頭,其包括四個該等區段。
- 如請求項21之管接頭,其中該等區段以大致相同的間距相互分隔。
- 如請求項21之管接頭,其中該等孔包括沿該環於長度方向上延伸的槽孔。
- 如請求項21之管接頭,其中該等凸出部是可撓的。
- 如請求項21之管接頭,其中該等凸出部是可彈性變形的。
- 如請求項21之管接頭,其中該等凸出部是可塑性變形的。
- 如請求項21之管接頭,其中該等拱形表面從該等區段大致徑向向內地突出。
- 如請求項21之管接頭,其中該等區段之一區段上的該等拱形表面之一拱形表面包括至少一從該一區段大致徑向向內突出的齒。
- 如請求項29之管接頭,其中該齒沿該區段大致連續地於長度方向上延伸。
- 如請求項21之管接頭,其中該等區段之一區段上的該等拱形表面之一拱形表面包括被定位為沿該一區段於長度方向上呈分隔關係的複數個齒。
- 如請求項21之管接頭,其中該等區段具有被定向為大致平行於該等管元件之一縱向軸線的對向配置端面,該等端面因該拉緊構件之繫緊作用而被互朝對方拉近。
- 如請求項21之管接頭,其中該等區段具有被定向為相對於該等管元件之一縱向軸線傾斜的對向配置端面,就每一該區段來說,在其一端之該端面具有一相反於在其一反端之該端面的斜率,每一該區段上之每一該端面大致平行於該等區段之一相鄰區段上的一相鄰端面,該等端面因該拉緊構件之繫緊作用而被帶到相互接合,該等端面之該斜角取向導致相互鄰近的該等區段沿該等管元件於長度方向上以相反方向移動。

- 一種管接頭,其可被定位為跨置於一對管元件之相面對末端部分以將該等管元件固定在一起成端對端關係,該管接頭包括:一可變形密封構件,其有一大小設定為用來接收該等管元件的內徑以及一外表面;被支撐在該密封構件之該外表面上的複數個區段,該等區段被定位為周向地環繞該密封構件且以直徑向相互分隔,每一該區段具有位在該密封構件之對向側上的一對拱形表面;一沿該等區段之一外周延伸的壓縮環,該壓縮環包括被排列成端對端關係的複數個環部分,每一該環部分具有與該等環部分之另一者之末端呈相面對關係的對向末端,該等區段被陷留在該等環部分與該密封構件之間;及複數個拉緊構件,每一拉緊構件被安裝在該等環部分上介於呈相面對關係的該等末端之間,使得該區段被該壓縮環固持在一起,且當該等拉緊構件可被調整繫緊時,可對該等環部分施加張力且強迫該等區段大致徑向向內地緊抵該密封構件,並使該等拱形表面移動至與該等管元件接合。
