- 양극과 음극 사이에 복수의 발광층을 구비하고, 상기 복수의 발광층은 등전위면 형성층(equipotential surface forming layer) 또는 전하 발생층(charge generating layer)에 의해 서로 분리되어 있는, 유기 발광 소자에 있어서,상기 발광층으로부터 발광되는 광을 산란시키는 광 산란 수단을 구비하고,상기 양극과 음극은 모두 광 투과성 전극으로 형성되고,상기 양극, 상기 음극 및 상기 복수의 발광층은 광 투과성 기판의 한 측 위에 형성되고,상기 광 산란 수단은 상기 광 투과성 기판의 다른 측 위에 광 산란성이고 광 반사성인 요소를 제공함으로써 구성되는 것인 유기 발광 소자.

- 양극과 음극 사이에 복수의 발광층을 구비하고, 상기 복수의 발광층은 등전위면 형성층 또는 전하 발생층에 의해 서로 분리되어 있는, 유기 발광 소자에 있어서,상기 양극과 상기 음극이 모두 광 투과성 전극으로 형성되어 있고,상기 양극과 상기 음극 중 하나의 전극의 한 측에 광 반사성 요소가 설치되고, 상기 하나의 전극의 다른 측에 상기 발광층이 설치되며,상기 광 반사성 요소와 상기 발광층 사이의 거리는, 광학적 간섭(optical interference)이 일어나지 않는 거리로 설정되어 있는 것인,유기 발광 소자.
- 제3항, 제6항 또는 제7항에 있어서,상기 복수의 발광층은, 적어도 2종의 상이한 발광 색(emission color)의 발광층을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 유기 발광 소자.
- 제8항에 있어서,상기 유기 발광 소자의 발광 색이 백색인 것인 유기 발광 소자.
